Setting of castle by Loch Fyne. Wonderful rhododendrons in flower and lovely grounds to walk in. Friendliness of all the staff we met. Excellent dinner in well positioned dining room overlooking loch. Room beds very comfortable and room clean. Took a long time for the hot water to come through the bathroom sink hot tap! No face cloth was provided with the towels. It would be good to have the rhododendrons labelled? Some trees were labelled and this was helpful.

The recomindo to 100%. Es un lugar maravilloso, ubicado entre jardines naturales de tal manera que, aun siendo enorme, no lo ves hasta que estás a pocas yardas. La comida excelente, las habitaciones limpias y el personal muy agadable. Lo recomindo al 100%.

Location. Ambience. Country house/castle elegance. That of all the public areas with fireplaces only one was lit. This was a particular lack when a power cut put the central heating out of action and the old building lost heat very quickly. If chimneys are not functioning in fireplaces that were not lit then Wood-burning stoves should be fitted with piped flues.

Hotel is in a lovely situation and is very comfortable. Had a very enjoyable stay. Food in restaurant was a little disappointing. Menu doubles up on too many starters/main meals. Waiting staff and wine waiter, although very pleasant could do with further training.

Everything. This is a superb stay. Nothing. It's a little out by itself, but it is definitely worth it.

The location; the beautiful magnificence of the building; the many rooms you could sit in to read, relax, and socialise; the decor with its purple and sage colour schemes, twinkling candels and open log fire; and the fantastic food available in the restaurant and bar. Loved everything about our stay.

Traditional country house hotel. Great for a wee break. Internet connection poor, no mobile signal - not an ideal business hotel.

wonderful scenic location. amazing building. superb breakfast, restaurant, bar (whiskys list), and lounge. The Wifi Internet connection was free but poor quality and poorly managed. Guest was required to log in every time with a difficult user name and password, which changed daily, and were different for each device (smart phone and laptop for instance). The Internet security seemed over-the-top compared to other hotels around the world.

This was my second visit to Stonefield Castle, as I had previously stayed there last year. I enjoyed my stay last year and this most recent stay was also most enjoyable. This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, and the standard of service and the of the rooms means that time spent indoors is also very pleasurable. Will visit again and will recommend to others.

driving down the diveway you come to the beautiful setting and picturesque castle. From the minute you walk in the door you are welcomed by the warm atmospher and friendly staff. They went out of their way to assist us and even giving them a previous request of a super king bed and view this was met. Our time there was very relaxed, exactly what we wanted on our 34th Wedding Annniversary. Food was exquisite.. Will be back.. Under this there is a question. Would yourecommend Stonefield Castle Hotel to other travellers? I am actually tempted to put NO as we love it for ourselves.... and could be selfish.... going home.......

It had a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff and good food A very minor issue. The hot water in the shower and the wash hand basin was very cold in the morning. This may have been the result of the time change from British Summer time over the weekend of 27/28 October 2012.

How nice and quiet it was, no mobile phone links, Heather in the bar was friendly as was all the other staff. Nice to sit in a quite lounge and library playing games and reading. Food was good in bar though dining room menu was too sofistocated for me. I like plain wholesome food and not a fish fan at all. Nothing really except for the shower curtain in the bath please get rid of them.
