Restaurant, clean, close to Salisbury. large well maintained.
You cannot keep a constant temperature on the shower and the water pressure is very poor. Ruins an otherwise great place.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the accommodation superb. Meals were looked forward to, especially the carvery meals.
The stairs are rather steep.
We would definitely recommend this. Situated close to Stonehenge in a lovely pub. Danielle and Rochelle in the bar were friendly and attentive. The food was uncomplicated and nice. Rooms were clean with good decor.
Excellent all round accommodation, great location, lovely rooms, great rooms and very friendly staff.
Nothing not to like
Polite & Friendly staff. Location near our destination.Dinner very good, especially carvery.
Shower didn't work properly, traffic noise, cooked breakfast not great quality. A lot of door banging from staff quarters next to our room late at night.
friendly staff, late availability of supper, bed comfortable. convenience of location and carpark. not too expensive.
Noise from extractor in bathroom. Cold shower. Breakfast- packet cereal and sliced white toast, marmalade just yellow jelly.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The single room was a good size.
There were noises from the ensuite bathroom about every twenty minutes through the night.
Comfortable room, good meal and friendly service.
The road was a bit noisy, but not through the night.
Once again another stay at the Stonehenge Inn & Carvery and despite my complaints about the lack of proper working showers nothing has changed
Stonehenge Inn was a surprise: I booked for the position close to Stonehenge, so I could not expect much more than average. Actually , I found good rooms, spacious, clean and tidy, but most of all an excellent food, not usual in a country pub: the pork belly I ate was much better than the one I ate today in a very highly rated London restaurant. If you add that the Inn is 3 miles from wonderful Stonehenge, the visit is well worth...
Plenty but the worst thing was the hotel card machines weren't working so it took about 3/4 hour to pay and meant ringing the card provider etc but, as a result, I couldn't use my card again for the rest of the holiday. Continental breakfast was poor. No juice or milk left and coffee arrived at the end!
Shower, not good, brokon access door, hot water very intermittent. Television on wall but too far away to get a good view, some channels not available, also the distance from bed to tv meant that sometimes the remote failed to change channels
The shower was either red hot or stone cold no happy medium rm 1
Staff were lovely and attentive. So nice it was hard to complain about the things that were not so good. The furniture in the room is sturdy and there is a lovely little guide provided in the room of the local area, which was a nice touch. Restaurant and food was great.
Ok where to start! Rooms not very well equiped. For £100 a night I would expect to have a shaving socket, telephone, desk and or chair of which there were none, also a larger TV (TV in room so small u can't hardly see it from the bed which is the only place you can sit in the room) and slightly better decor. The bathroom was badly done. This hotel was renovated 4 months ago but already the glass shelf fell off the wall ( everyday! We didn't use it and made an effort not to touch it, we would leave it off and find it back up every night ready to fall off again!) toilet seat came off first day (of 5 night stay) reported but never repaired, toilet leaked, shower was awful! Either scolding hot or freezing cold and not very powerful at all, unusable for my 1 year old, blood was on the wall in the bathroom, never cleaned. The room appeared clean until you looked closer. Cleaner was awful! One day left our room unlocked! So all our belongings were not secured. One day left her dirty cleaning rags in our sink, then took the dirty towels but left us no clean ones, left dirty cups and didn't restock teas and coffees. Wifi non existent! Occasionally (twice in 5 days) got a signal in the bar area) should not advertise as having wifi as it's just not there! If this hotel was £50-£60 per night I'd have been happy with it but at £100 a night the standards were shocking!
The loveliest staff, Comfortable clean room delicious breakfast
comfotable bed nice decor
Staff ignored us during dinner for over an hour. Ended up leaving the dining room and still nobody noticed us. Toilet seat was broken shower was useless and temperature went from scalding to freezing Aeriel was broken on the TV and i had to fix it
Everything about this place was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and comfortable. Would definately stay here again.
The shower wasn't great. Very hard to maintain pressure and temperature.
Friendly staff. Close to Stonehenge. Cooked to order breakfasts.
Not, as stated by Booking.com, in Stonehenge Rd Amesbury but in Stonehenge Rd Durrington, a completely different village. Basic accommodation. No chair in room.
Very nice hotel , excellent staff
Pity about the draught beer pump out of service
Everything ...meals, bed, furniture, bathroom, staff. Lee cooked us amazing cuisine. His assistant James served a great lunch. Danielle greeted us with a warmth that made us feel that we had arrived home...
The bedroom was clean and recently decorated The restaurant (carvery) was excellent and the service was good. The choice of food was good and hot.
No chairs in bedroom. Television too small to see from bed. Mirror needs to be relocated to over tall-boy. toilet in wrong place. Could easily be moved to give more space to stand up. As it is it is impossible to stand up from the toilet without swivelling sideways which caused the toilet seat to swivel and become extremely loose and is dangerous. The price was outrageous for the poor bedroom facilities.
Our very first night of our very first trip to UK and what a pleasant surprise it was. Just a short drive to Stonehenge. Very nice and friendly staff, they even helped us carry our heavy luggage to the second floor. Comfortable room and clean facilities. The dining room is very well decorated with good taste. For free breakfast, they go above and beyond just the full English. We had a full menu of items to order from and everything was delicious!
We only stayed for 1 night; we wish we had stayed for longer.
Value for money, Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, clean and tidy.
Very small TV,Shower was not good as it was not strong enough and the temperature unable to be controlled.
Location- very near the site we wanted to visit. Helpful staff.
