Cost and location were fine. Plenty of secure car parking. The hotel is best described as 'functional'. My room was was clean and quiet; the faclities therein worked well. The quality of food was very poor. The restaurant was more like a cafeteria. The rooms were a bit dowdy and chairs not particularly comfortable

Located next to my conference venue. Double bed was very hard for me personally. Shower was only luke warm on a very cold morning. I tried the hot setting on full and lower the head pressure but it made no difference.

It was convenient for the wedding we attended. On our third night, we arrived back late from the wedding to a cold room with bed unmade, yesterday's pile of wet towels, no tea coffee replacements, and no shampoo/shower gel. We were given £10 off the total bill and an apology, but did not consider that to be enough for such a bad mistake.

My stay at Stonleigh was extremely pleasurable. The staff were perfect especially the front of house. I have to say your chef is probably the best I have stayed in a business hotel. The food was always hot and extremely well cooked together with excellent value. I will be returning with my family for a weekend stay as the location is also extremely suitable for local site seeing. You lifted my expectations of an affordable hotel and would recommend to anyone. KInd Regards...........Mike Quittenton

The convenience of parking for an event on the showground, plenty of safe parking, evening meal was prompt with service and a good range of food. Breakfast was a suitable time with a good choice range. Rooms were spacious with reasonable lighting. My room 120 smelt of old cigarette smoke - bedding and room itself. The bathroom smelt dank although the toels were fresh, clean and nice smelling. As it was a disabled room I supose it is not used that much but the plug in air freshner only masked over the smell in the roo mwhich was actually worse !

The location was great for a dog show at the Kennel Club building in the park. Was also nice for the dogs as there was plenty of place to walk them. It was nice there was a resturant there to have breakfast as you are way from town. Staff were good about the dogs. Lots of parking and space in the parking lot. The beds! Several beds were very uncomfortable as they have springs that poke through! Had to get extra bedspreads to cover it and then remake the bed, No elevator so had to carry luggage up a long flight of stairs. Also, had house keeping knock at 9am to see if we had left yet. Was trying to sleep in. So, don't forget your do not distrub sign! The breakfast was nothing special but when you are at a horse or dog show you don't expect much more. Wouldn't stay unless attending dog show or horse show at the park.

The location as we were attending a dog competition on site. The room was clean and comfortable the staff friendly the breakfast lovely. Our dogs slept in our van but it was great that they could have come in at £5.00 extra we told all of our friend at the competition about the hotel as we did nt know it was there and we would have used it in previous years. When the kennel club have events at stonleigh your hotel should appear on the entry forms for the competitions as I am sure lots more competitors would use it. We will always book it from now on. Competitions

The receptionist was extremely slow and it took 3 attempts back and forth to reception to gain access to my room. The hotel in general smelt like stale cigarette smoke. The bed was like sleeping on cardboard and pillows - not sure it would even qualify as a pillow. In addition, the shower curtain smelt like sweat. Not a great experience at all.

The Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and comfortable and there was a good selection of food for breakfast! As a competitor at the recent Tralblazers Dressage Championships it was the perfect location to get a good night's sleep whilst remaining close to the equine area. I would definitely stay at Stoneleigh Park Lodge again.
