The staff were friendly and helpful particularly the porter on the first night. The grounds were lovely despite the rain through our entire stay ! Fruit on reception was a nice touch as was a free bottle of water in the room. I was put a room as far away from reception as possible and it was a treck to get there despite the hotel having hardly any guests. The decor was a bit tired and old fashioned but it was very clean. Interesting 1970's menu in the dining room !

Set in acres of gardens with outdoor pool area. Pleasant restaurant with a good choice of food, excellent if you like Flambé. We had a spacious room clean and comfortable with a four poster bed and nice views of the gardens. Plenty of parking and within easy reach of The Severn Valley Railway, West Midlands Safari Park, Cadbury World, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and more. Worth a stay. This hotel caters for Weddings mostly every day. Can be very busy and service can suffer.

Love this hotel,have stayed before.great value for a 4 star ,the room was lovely with views over the beautiful gardens..We did not eat in the hotel as we went out to meet friends,but arrived back at 10.30 and found the bar closed,which was a bit disappointing, the hotel staff served us with a bottle of wine.. In all I could not fault the hotel.and would stay again..

Nice spacious room - beautiful garden/view and setting - would like to come again on a warmer day and use the pool We only stayed one short night (arrived 10pm and had to leave by 10am) There was no hot water for the shower or bath - if staying longer would have complained!

The setting is beautiful in stunning grounds of both formal gardens and extensive parklands. Our room was enormous with dual aspect, corner spa bath and walk in wardrobe. It represented great value for money and made a perfect romantic getaway. Even though there was a wedding doind on the noise levels were discrete and did not disturb us. Also there was plenty of room not to feel the hotel was taken over by wedding guests. The room was possibly a little warm so we had to open the windows which felt a little excessive due to the fact it was only mid March!

The building and gardens are stunning. Driving up the drive the hotel looks amazing, the gardens are very very nice The staff were miserable, need to learn to smile. Restaurant serves good food but the staff are miserable. Reception staff very unhelpful and miserable,need to smile bathroom needs redecorating urgently cost of restaurant and hotel ,staff should be more friendly and happy
