Was dismal. Absolute state. Smelt funny, mould in bathroom, plaster falling off the walls and the room was outdated.
I visited this hotel 3 years ago and vowed never to stay in it again after an awful experience but having seen what looked liked newly renovated rooms on the website I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong! The room was supposedly a suite but it was dirty and tired looking. I could not close the curtains on one of the windows which was overlooked and the bathroom was dated and not finished to a good standard. There was no wifi to speak of and the tv did not work. Not worth the money I paid for it!
Nothing. It was dirty. Found maggots in room, curtains hanging off, dirty cup and spoon, bad smell Just disgusting. Left after an hour and only stayed that long in order to find somewhere else. Needs closing down. Restaurant none existent. Website total misleading. Worst experience of my life
All of it. Dirty. Disgusting. Misleading website. Maggots in room. Smelt and was just horrendous. Would put a dog in there. Needs closing down
Too hot, no tele, no hot water, food poor, dirty room
The bed was comfortable and clean
No wifi Broken bath and shower head No tv Carpet at door was a trip hazard Breakfast was in edible as was coffee Ice in milk No lift
8ft square patch in celling, toilet seat broken not even attached, shower not working or bath, broken shower door out in passage with broken wardrobe doors, carpet not clean, bare television cable, empty energy cans in passage and spent toilet rolls, breakfast not hot. parking a joke. on average I stay in 15 hotels a year and return to the good ones, I would rather sleep in the car than return to this hotel this also is the view of my working partner, there were a number of complaints to the staff from other residents.
The staff were helpful the rooms were small but adequate for what we required and the included breakfast was very nice.
The only criticism was that the blind in our room had fallen off but did not effect our stay.
Breakfast was good
No TV reception, Ariel had blown down
Everything. The floor was wonkey. The walls were full of stains. The water was only warm, not hot The carpet didn't fit The restaurant wasn't open The car parking was shocking, when you park at the rear you can get blocked in by the spaces at the front There was no tv in the room even though we were given a remote There was only half a curtain When I complained the receptionist wasn't helpful Fellow guest had similar problems!!!!
There wasn't one good thing about the hotel.
The food, staff, etc
Nothing really shocking
Got covered in bites from room Not clean Should be shut down
Nothing breakfast poor
All of it. Needs a serious makeover. Flush didn't work.
Good breakfast. Small room, however had everything what you need for short stay - WC + shower, tea.
Far from center.
We were given our room keys walked up to the top floor through filthy hallways and stairs got to our room opend the door it was filthy beds not even made tobacco I've both beds empty coke cans a mess went strait back to reception got them to check the room the lady gave me my money back wich was fine but we had traveled from London with a7yr old and had no where to say at 9pm fortunately found a lovely hotel I had been told the manager would call on Sunday to explain its now Monday pm and still nothing absolutely nasty dirty place!!!!!!!
The toilet didn't flush, mold on walls, hair in shower, pushes on floor, damp smell to room
the room was so dirty the bathroom floor disgusting wall light hanging of the wall curtains hanging of the rail carpets stinking
Free parking handy, location fine and Wi-Fi worked okay
Sorry, but even for the cheap price the standard and cleanliness were completely unnaceptable. Examples were hairs in bed, dust lying everywhere, flies trapped in light fitting and the bed itself which was completely collapsed in the middle; impossible to sleep well. There's inexpensive and 'no-frills' and then there's just dirty and this hotel sadly sits in the latter.
first room had huge hole in wall 2nd shower didnt work n told ni more rooms so had to go to other sdr of hotel to have a bath
Nothing, will not be staying again.
On arrival the staff were not helpful, all they wanted was your money. When we asked them about food in the restaurant , they said they had no one to cook the tea that night. Asked them if there was anywhere to go out and eat, their reply walk to the top of the road and I'm sure you will find something. The carpets in the rooms were dirty, the bed felt like it was going to fall apart when you sat on it. The breakfast is not the best And the way they have the breakfast room set up, you feel like your sat on the persons knee next to you. Overall the hotel and staff were very poor. Will not be staying there again in the future.
Staff was helpful.
Heating was on constant. Bed was terrible, didn't feel very clean. Dirty mattress outside my room in hall just left. Bed light hanging off wall. Breakfast was very below average, did not Trust the hygiene neither.
Clean with friendly staff
Room had poor wiring, no bedside lamp, very shabby looking, no waste basket in room, kettle leaked, bathroom looked good initially but shower leaked all over the floor. However we were only there one night.
The staff were unfriendly on arrival. The room and environment was extremely poor. Major repair and updating was required. Shower didn't have a shower head, dirty carpet, noisy neighbours, creaky floorboards and doors. Chipped, stained cups in the room. No window covering in bathroom so had to shower in the dark. Bed didn't smell fresh. Dirty cup on my table in breakfast room.
Room not clean. Public areas unhoovered. Very overheated room resulting in lack of sleep.
