In central Leicester, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and the very heart of the city, this modern hotel has comfortable accommodations, free Wi-Fi, and good facilities at well-priced...
Score from 499 reviews Very good
Room very clean, staff really helpful and located near the university.
Good value Hotel all round
The staff were friendly and very helpful and accommodating. They are making improvements to the hotel. When I had a problem with my room ,they found me another room to go into.
The price is a bit much for the room.
OK location and off street parking. Meals were OK
Dangerously narrow and steep stairs. No lifts. Shower head was broken. Wifi kept on dropping out.
Location was OK
Building was very dilapidated. Tap leaked. Wall paper damaged. Curtains old and worn. Doors scrapped. Carpets dirty. Breakfast - No fruit, yoghurt or mushrooms.
The location. Easy access from train station, clean facilities, good breakfast.
There were some noisy guests who slammed doors in the middle of the night.
Cheep and cheerful but it is going through a refurb at the moment which is much needed
No door on bathroom and mattress didnt fit the bed and the room didnt have a wardrobe or chest of drawers or bed side table
Very unpleasant smell when I arrived, had to ask for air freshner. Paint work was poor, bathroom door was broken around latches and wouldn't shut. Light bulb was damaged so had to use the side lamp as light wouldn't turn on. No hot water. Everything was just awful and horrible!!!
TV not work, no milk or tea bags in the room and had to keep going to reception. TV was as old as me
Shabby small room. TV Radio bedside light not working. Not very clean. Leak in bathroom.Sour milk.
Doors slamming all night
Dirty carpets, no hot water no cleanliness at all Felt like haunting house
The staff were lovely
The place needs a thorough overhaul, wall paper was hanging off the wall and the carpet was very soiled and stained. Really shouldn't be let.
It was awful, unhygenic, dirty rooms, broken bathroom facilities, no proper lock on bedroom doors. I changed rooms and things were no better. I will never stay at this hotel again. It needs the health & safety experts to pay a visit! ...Unannounced. I checked out after one night!
Avin 2 leave
The flour and the walls were dirty, the curtains were disrupted, most of the bulbs didn`t work or there was even a whole, where a lamp was supposed to be. In the corridor was an open electricity box. In the beds were smudges and hair. The bathroom was not clean.
the location was the only good thing about the hotel .
the hotel is a atrocious . smells of mould. the carpet was filthy. The bedding was ripped and full of stains. The curtains were ripped ..the stairs gripper rod and come loose . the bed mattresses had springs digging into you back and the icing on cake was there was not hotel water to bath with. Even after calling reception, they did NTOHING !! I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy !! Booking . com website did not portray any of the above , instead it is advertised as a small friendly family run hotel. Really !
- Good location. - Ample parking. - Good (free!) Wi-Fi network available.
- Both mornings I had to have a fairly cold shower as there didn't seem to be enough hot water. I did the usual "run the taps" and "give it some time", but on both days it wasn't possible to actually have a warm (let alone hot) shower. - The mattress in my room appeared to have a piece of metal from one of the springs poking through a hole in the mattress which meant that it was occasionally fairly uncomfortable... - Due to booking online I was able to stay for a discounted price. Had I had to pay full price I would have been very disappointed with the size of the room (one of the smallest 'double' rooms I've stayed in) and the issues with the shower/bed.
The interesting young lady at reception
No bedside lamp
Easy to access and park
No hot water for shower
nothing at all.
it sais bear with us while we improve the hotel......................that sign will be there 10 years from now........they have no intention of making it a accommodating place to stay.
in the first bedroom on the second floor,no lift, the bathroom door was falling off its hinges ,and no hot water for a shower.moved to a first floor room.hot water but the sink taps were loose and all over the place.took our money twice and had to wait 2 weeks for return.city centre not 5 mins walk, more like 30 mins.behind the hotel car park, its a tip
Front entrance door propped open with bag of plaster. Room walls dirty . Cool shower( wasn't,t too bad because weather was warm.) After having shave plug stuck in sink. Told girl on reception expecting them to sort it .But on my return sink still full of dirty water.
Located in a quiet leafy, Stoneygate area of Leicester, not far from the city centre. Staff were helpful. Value for money.
Bed in room 20 was broken. Old mildew on wall paper. Room 9 was better, although the TV didn't work. And, overall the property badly needs modernising and updating.
