Excellent,

“The staff were excellent. The meal we had in the evening was made all the better by the attentive and very prompt service. Many tasks seemed to be done on the 'double'. The kitchen staff were interested in the meals and the outcome. Thanks and well done!”

The bar and lounge area are very comfortable and pleasant to sit in, as is the mezzanine area. The room was excellent - particularly the shower.Bar staff were particularly attentive and helpful. I was a little disappointed by breakfast (for which I had to pay extra). I had to specifically ask for tea and coffee when I would have expected it to be offered at the table. The soda bread was toasted rather than fried and there were no fried eggs.

Luxury for a low price. I have put fair location however easy transport links to city centre. Approx 3.5 miles out. Nice walk up to Stormont nearby. The 1912 suite was superbly furnished.

Efficient service Room was extremely noisy, if someone spoke in another room it sounded like they were beside you. Every time a door slammed shut, I got woken up. Also the head board was sticky, and other fixtures were damaged and poorly repaired, or not repaired at all.

We stayed during a weekend when the hotel experienced flooding of a number of rooms because of a burst pipe. We were most impressed by how the staff dealt with this crisis and moved us quickly to another room which they also transformed into a twin for us. Very helpful and efficient staff. Congratulations!!

The only disappointment was my room view was half obscured by the glass blocks which are above the rear entrance. Since it was only one night on business I didn't bother but would not have liked it any other time.

When I arrived at check in I was told that there was no record of my booking.com reservation. I was offered a basic room at the same rate as my original reservation that had been made for an executive room. When I requested the same type of room as I had reserved with booking.com I was told that these had not been cleaned. As it was 9:30 pm I had no choice but to accept their take it or leave it offer.I would recommend checking directly with this hotel to confirm that they have acknowledged your booking.com reservation before turning up there. Customer service did not seem to be a priority for them. Belfast would not be good place to be stranded in late at night

I would definitely recommend the hotel and hopefully I'll get to stay again soon. Straight across from Stormont buildings, beautiful scenery, although we didn't have the best view from our window! My room was spacious, clean and well equipped. All the staff from check in to check out were friendly and helpful. We even asked for a second Rubber Duck and got it... :) On objection - charging for WiFi. I don't think this should be chargable with some much business travel. If every room cost £1 more to book, WiFi could be free!

The hotel was the nicest I have ever stayed in and the service was excellent. The staff were polite and very helpful. The buildings are absolutely lovely and I would definitely love to stay there again if I was able to get the same sort of price for the stay. Well done to all at the hotel for making our stay so enjoyable.

The Room was spacious and comfortable but the emphasis in this hotel is clearly on corporate functions, weddings and group events in many separate rooms. The individual guest is not at the top of their agenda. Breakfast service - staff too interested in setting up for lucnh, food [buffet style] was past its eat by hour at 09.15, butter and marmalade in different locations + hard to locate, too many people in for breakfast set up their computers at the tables talking noisily, far too expensive at £16.00! Not worth half that amount. Restaurant - good and some main courses reasonably priced. No draught beer only lager and appalling canned musak.

The restaurant at the Stormont was excellent! I had salmon, my husband had chicken and both were wonderfully prepared. We had glasses of the house Merlot that was also excellent. The beds were uncomfortable, the mattresses were hard and I booked a double room that was one double bed for the two of us. In the US, a double means two double beds.

Comfort of the room, hotel has its own car park, Like all hastings hotels it does not serve jamison or powers whiskey, for an irish hotel thats terrible, walk into an hotel in hong kong or brisbane and jamison whiskey is on the shelf, even the staff were embarrassed when this was pointed out , shame on you hastings group! !
