Storrs Gate House  

We loved this b & B. This was the one of the best beds we slept in while on our trip around England. Vince is a great host with good recommendations on what to do and how to get there. Shirley is an awesome cook and these were the best breakfasts we had in England. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk from the town so that we could enjoy wine with dinner and not worry about driving and there are lots of good restaurants in Bowness-on-Windemere - just ask Vince!

I struggled with wifi it was a bit intermittent

Everything the whole stay from arrival to departure you were made to feel special, nothing was to much trouble and lots of little touches from sweets on the bed to fridge with snacks and drinks in room, thanks to Vince and Shirley.

This is a first class five star bed and breakfast guest house. Great rooms in a wonderful setting. Good food and in a prime location for the ferry and walking into Bowness. You will not be disapointed 10 out of 10 will stay again in the future.

The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly , we had to leave at 5.00 am on tues to get to our cafe Upstairs downstairs to open up after the bank hol at 8.00 and they kindly packed us up a fruit salad to die for !! Also 3 bacon but ties for our journey !

lovely guest house, not to far from the centre....very comfortable room, also had a mini bar that was well priced,the owners were both, very welcoming & helpful ,,,,we will be returning .

Vince and Shirley are lovely and accommodating accommodating people. the breakfast was superb. The location of the place couldn't be better. Near the ferry and a short drive away from town. Faultless!

The quality of the breakfast product was good. The at tension to detail in room 3(Victorian 4 poster room) was faultless.

Everything, the room was superb and has everything you need for comfort. The breakfast had an excellcent choice to chose from. My husband was very impressed and commented 'that its the best place he has stayed in' and hes stayed in lots of places. The owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome.

The furnishings are very opulent. Vince & Shirley very good hosts. It's our second time visiting & we would certainly return.
