Very friendly and warm welcome. We immediately felt at home. The location is absolutely stunning. Waking up with pheasants and rabbits running around in the fields. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and a great shower. Got loads of information about things to do and were to eat. Continental breakfast was delightful with an option to order (£.5 extra) a full English breakfast with eggs made just the way you like it, in the privacy of your own room. In short, everything was great, highly recommended. We will definitely go back.
The suite of rooms was well appointed with attention to detail. A tremendous view.
Continental breakfast lacked much choice of breads, cereals etc The drive in from the road was very hard to negotiate from one direction, but this is going to be improved
The accommodation was of a very high standard, everything was so clean, the décor had a wonderful homely feel. The views from the cottage were so picturesque and we were made to feel very welcome by Sara who catered for our every need. Thank you.
room to relax and lovely garden, very close to North Downs Way and marvellous end to a days walking and ready for next.
Stourview cottage is not your run of the mill B&B. Sara, the host was very welcoming and friendly. She met us on arrival and showed us through to the garden suite which has its own entrance and garden. It was exactly as you would imagine an idyllic country cottage to be and more. The décor is of a very high standard and the feel of the whole place was very decadent and exclusive and the views from the suite are breath-taking. Breakfast was the best we have ever had and Sara even put out camomile tea bags for me after an evening out as I mentioned I did not drink tea or coffee. This was a very nice touch as were the brownies which welcomed us on arrival. We would 100% recommend staying in this country retreat.
There was nothing we did not like. It was perfect in every way.
Where do I start, great location, beautiful building and lovely owner.
No negatives at all.
Masage room - great for sore walking legs.
Stour cottage was such a perfect place to stay. So romantic and relaxing for all age groups. So much thought and effort has gone into every little detail. Would highly recommend this perfect little cottage. We was so happy x x thank you for making my husbands birthday perfect x x
sara is a very welcoming host. the room and location are fantastic. stayed only one night, but should have stayed longer. excellent breakfast. would go again.
Comfortable, well appointed with beautiful decor. Our host Sarah made us feel very welcome and there is little that one can find wrong with this beautiful B&B. I would highly recommend this location to any traveller who is looking for that little touch of luxury.
If if there is any criticism it would be that there are no coffee/tea making facilities provided, and a small fridge would be advantageous. These small items would raise this property to the 5 star rating that it currently enjoys.
Overall facilities and welcome were excellent. The position of the B&B is outstanding.
Great location for long walks around Wye. The accommodation was very spacious and of a very high standard. We would definitely visit again if we were in the local area.
The owner, Sara, made sure we have a wonderful time there.
Sara had the balance between friendly and business-like just right and greeted us with a welcoming smile. Beautiful home, providing beautiful rooms and views, spotlessly clean, very comfy bed, quality toiletries, towels, bedding etc and yes the brownies are delicious. It was nice to be able to take our owns drinks and snacks and Sara was happy for us to use her fridge and ice cubes (perfect for the G&T). The aromatherapy treatments were amazing and we were allowed to stay until after 13.00hrs, without charge. This ensured we had the full benefit of the relaxation rather than be rushed off at the usual 10.30 checkout deadline.
To be totally private you would need to stay in your bedroom but food and drink in the bedrooms is not permitted. I do like my cuppa or a glass of wine when watching the TV. Also, we should have read the small print about the breakfast. With Booking.com the breakfast consisted of fruit juice, choice of tea or coffee, yoghurt, cereal, fresh pineapple and toast with preserve. The English was an extra £5 each and mine consisted of 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 mushroom and 1/2 a tomato. I think because we had read the amazing reviews and seen the pictures of the breakfast we were really looking forward to a feast. It was however good quality produce and freshly cooked.
The owner was extremely welcoming. The room was clean, elegant & comfortable with a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside. Liked the fact that we had our own entrance and it felt like home. Sara was great-giving out advice when we asked for it and interested in what we had been doing. The brownies & fresh milk were the icing on the cake!
Owner of the property was amazing - everything thought of - beautiful accomodation and surroundings
The cottage was beautiful with the most beautiful views of Kent. Everything was of a high standard and the host was very friendly and professional.
Everything was exception, there wasn't anything we disliked.
The views, the quality of decoration and furnishings, own spacious private dining/seating area, friendliness of owner
The most relaxing place. I could not fault the picturesque location, charming accommodation or warm hospitality from the proprietor, Sara. I was warmly welcomed by the lovely Sara, given tea and biscuits on arrival, a beautiful room and bathroom (roll top bath) overlooking the Downs & Pilgrim Way. I indulged in a manicure and facial and later slept soundly. There was a charming dining room available and a patio overlooking the Downs. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
Amazing! best B&B we've stayed at and better than some hotels. We were welcomed with home made brownies, the king suite was amazing and we had a choice of 2 bedrooms, the big bath tub over looking the countryside was very romantic, lots of little extras and incredible views. We had some beauty treatments the next morning after breakfast which were 10 out of 10.Everything was there that you could possibly need, clarins beauty products in the cupboards!! as a beauty therapist this was a real treat for me, amazing host and lovely breakfast, rooms and treatments.... what more could you want
wish we had booked 2 nights instead of 1!! will defo be returning and recommending to everyone we know
Everything about this place was amazing. Sara is tops, whatever you going for, she caters for. Very relaxing and a lovely break. Will defo be going back.
Really enjoyed our stay, had a great time in lovely accommodation, would definitely go back.
Loved everything about it. The host, Sara is great. Oh those brownies!! :)
Luxury accommodation in a scenic countryside location. Had the advantage of a ground floor private dinning Our host Sara was very helpful in providing information about the local amenities.
Stourview Cottage is the perfect place to stay. Sara was friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. The B&B is very quiet and spacious with luxury furnishings and grounds.
