I liked the "Welshness" of it! My Son didn't like the fact that there was a Wedding Reception in the Hotel every night of our 3 night stay but in my opinion this was just one of those things and this is obviously how they make most of their money but it did make it a bit hectic and noisy as a result.

Because there was wedding held at the hotel at the time of our stay. We were unable to get into the car park. No staff actually on duty in the roof bar. To order we had to ring down to the main bar, and wait for them to arrive with our orders.

Booked a family room and found we had a double room with an adjoining twin. This was excellent for my daughters aged 11 and 15 as we had 2 bathrooms. Ate in the restaurant and the food was really good, same goes for the breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel for a base in South West Wales. Two minor points, there were one or two hairs on the bathroom floor but otherwise cleanliness was good. The beer in the bar was "bright" which was a shame as Brains SA and Felinfoel Double Dragon are both excellent if served via hand pump. Being a real ale fan this was a disappointment but then not unexpected in a hotel.

I stayed for one night only, I arrived very late yet the staff were most helpful. I had difficulty with my sat nav and the night staff were extremely patient and understanding. They gave me comprehensive guidance to locate the hotel. Very handy when one does not have a map, at night, in a rural area as a total stranger having already driven some 250 miles. The restaurant was close by the time I arrived. The night staff were most obliging. The made me a superb sandwich with all the trimmings, a pot of fresh tea all delivered with a smile by room service. Noting that I was staying on a budget special rate, I did not feel the quality of service was downgraded in any way. If I am awarded the contract which was the reason for my visit, I will arrange for my Engineers to stay at this Hotel for the duration of the works. This could be for 3 or 4 nights. Please convey my sincere thanks to the hotel management, great breakfast lovely original photographs of local scenes on the restaurant walls. Nothing pseudo, corporate, synthetic about this hotel. Kind regards Steve Piekos. Director, Eurogears Ltd.

Have stayed before due to service and quality, whilst going to rugby game at Parcy Scarlets. Was not informed that large corporate christmas functions taking place both nights with limited food, and bar service due to amount of people, and no private bar for other residents to use.

Great staff, good location. The only issue I had was when we arrived our card key for our room would not work, after 4 trips up and down the stairs the manager eventually opened the door for us. We were not given another key so every time we wanted access to our room a member of staff had to let us in. A little off putting but not life threatning so all was well.

Staff were ok. Way too expensive for what this is, a large, mediocre hotel that benefits from the fact it's the only place in town. My room was dark and dingy, actually partly subterranean. Temperature was so high we had to leave the window open all night - in December!! The hotel was bursting with weddings and events so jam packed, not very relaxing. Overall I felt I had vastly overpaid for this room and wouldn't want to stay there again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was smartly refurbished yet there was a relaxed pleasant atmosphere. Just one suggestion - a street map of Llanelli available for guests who wish to walk to their local destinations would be helpful.

Internally the hotel was lovely and very clean. There was sufficient furniture and space in the room. The bathroom suite was lovely, although having the toilet roll on a low holder was strange. I had a meal in the bar and it was very nice. The hotel is poorly signed outside, so initially I drove past it. The reception is only signboards immediately outside the door. So when I parked my car in the car park, I had to guess which way to walk. When I booked the hotel I asked for a contintental breakfast to take away early morning. When I booked in I again asked for an early take out breakfast and was told it would be ok. When I checked out the messages had not been actioned. This was a shame as it spoiled what had been a good experience.

We like the hotel and have always had a pleasent stay here. We originally chose it because it was the only 4 star hotel in the vicinity. The room we stayed in this time was not of same standard as on previous visits for the same price. The carpet was stained in numerous places and the bed quilt was also stained
