I appreciated the bar, really Nice place to sit
I was staying on the 6 Floor without an elevator, not a good idea. the beds where uncomfortable and not clean
Location was great and it felt safe, welcoming. Room was basic but perfect for one night. Cheap and very cheerful!
Easy to book, check in. Would use again. Great location. Breakfast simple but adequate.
Shower was poor and ony floor was put of order.
Wifi only in the bar.
Noise outside, but it is central London so can't cknpkain about that.
Everything else! The supposed double room was a joke, it was a cupboard and there was no way the bed was a double! We knew we had a shared bathroom but it wasn't even a room, it was a dirty old shower cubicle with a door! We moved somewhere else!
Location. Staff is good, too. And I guess it is good price for a hotel in the centre of London.
My room was surfacing the Strand street which was extremely busy and noisy for 24 hours. Ear plugs help a little but the worst thing was my bed. I felt all the springs on my body. I couldn't have a comfortable sleep at all. Another thing I didn't like was that they didn't have a separate lounge room only for their guests. The small lounge they had also served as a bar for any visitor which was overcrowded. Also no internet in the room.
I loved the location, reasonable price, friendly staff!
The breakfast was a cold one, to improve I personally would've liked to see a cooked breakfast included in the price!
location was excellent
having to ask for every item on breakfast "would you have a spoon, could i have a class, any chance for a cup, sorry but the plates are finished..."
Everything else was poor.
Music too loud in bar so that tv couldn't be heard properly Traffic noise all night No towels provided
Good location for going to theatre.
Standard of rooms - paint peeling off walls, damp patches, damp smell, bath/shower room filthy, hot water tempremental, no choice at breakfast, hear every noise from street below, complete disaster of hotel. Should be closed down!!!!
Friendly staff Good location Not far from transport
Door away a lot smaller then expected, so was harder to find. Beds were uncomfortable. Heard a lot of the out side throughout the night. Walls very thin, so could hear other users and their conversations!!
location and value for money, breakfast basic but great value
basic and some issues with decoration in our room, but what do you expect for the price?
I love the location of this hostel, just a few minutes walk from Westminster, Waterloo, basically all the main things London has to offer. The staff were really helpful too, giving me directions to places and were very friendly. Definitely staying there again in the future!
There was nothing I didn't like!
Great location, friendly staff, value for money, affordable for this location, near to sightseeing attractions
perfect location, good breakfast, bath-tub available
there was no bed sheet available in the moment we checked-in and later in the evening as we got back to the hostel there was nobody on the reception desk to give us one
Breakfast could be better
Tiny rooms No private bathroom Dirty cups and plates in breakfast area
Smell of Indian Restaurant.
Ideal location, good value for money, breakfast perfectly adequate. Staff pleasant.
Shower rooms fairly basic.
Great location in central London Good price in comparison to other hotels locally. You get what you pay for - a cheap-ish bed for the night a short walk from all the major attractions. Fairly quiet as I was at the back of the building (but always remember your ear plugs just in case)
The lack of a late check-out option was a real pain, especially as I had a late night event to organise and get back from. I've never been in a hotel/hostel (or worked in one for that matter) that doesn't have a little leeway if you ask for a late check-out so was taken aback by their hard stance. As I'd asked for a late check-out on my booking I would have expected them to contact me to tell me it wasn't an option. Customer service wasn't great either - rather sullen. Breakfast is just toast and cereal. In the room - fairly basic, but clean and serviceable. Although it has a double-bed I wouldn't call it a double-room. Very little floor space. Most frustrating was that the curtain didn't cover the whole of the window (only one curtain instead of two) leading to a very restless early morning.
- internet only on first floor, not in the rooms. - beds very uncomfortable. - everytime i came to the lobby to buy something nobody was there. - toilets/bathrooms dirty
The location was decent.
This was the worst hotel we have ever seen. The bed linens were dirty, the wall/ceiling was stained from water damage, and the door jam wasn't fully attached to the wall. There was no secure lock on the door either, only a turn lock on the door knob. The toilets were nasty and the shower floor was covered in hair. The mattress was similar to what you might find in a jail cell, very flimsy and thin. We felt very unsafe and checked out an hour and a half after arriving and therefore had to find another hotel. We asked for our money back, at least for the second night, and they refused. We notified Booking.com of the situation and they took the hotels word over ours. Needless to say this was a terrible experience for us and will be our last time using Booking.com.
