The award-winning Strand House is located next to 2 superb golf courses and a flat sandy beach. The guest house offers a range of organic and locally sourced produce. On arrival, you can enjoy a pot of tea or coffee and freshly baked scones. The spacious and well-furnished bedrooms have private bathrooms, wireless internet, a DVD player and a flat-screen TV. The location of The Strand House is excellent - so close to the beach and the town. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is a very tastefully decorated house. We had a lovely bedroom with what must have been a kingsize bed. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was wonderful! And last but not least the breakfast was probably the best I've had. I should also mention that the house was spotless. We will be back!

I picked Strand House based on a review that said how friendly Ernestine was. The review completely understated it. Ernestine and Tom were amazing. I felt like one of the family. Be prepared to accept their kindness. They went out of their way to be helpful. They may be a bit more expensive than some of the other local BnBs but it's worth every cent. I went looking for somewhere to stay and came away with new friends. Great wifi as well. Stay here!! Nothing. Stay here!!

Everything! A B&B incl. a warm welcome along with all amenities you would expect from a first class hotel! One of the best full Irish breakfasts I ever had! Although I got "only" a small room under the roof the scenic view over the bay was gorgeous.

Friendly welcome, clean spacious rooms, gorgeous breakfast.Being left to the restaurant in the evening instead of having to take a taxi... definitely arrived in style! More like a small boutique hotel than a b&b! Lovely to see the sun shining but would benefit from black out blinds. Card machine was not available on the morning we were leaving.

We were tired travelling and, to be honest, would have just been glad to see a clean bed. The welcome from the gentleman of the house was personal and genuine. Bags were taken to our very comfortable en-suite rooms, followed by complimentary tea and toasted scones in the library. We were delighted with Strand House (apparently the house was uniquely designed by the lady of the house, Ernestine) which is modern, bright and deeply comfortable. The soft furnishings were on a par with a 5 star hotel. We had a very relaxing and restful stay. Breakfast was de-li- cious (thanks Geraldine). We shall certainly be back. (Simon and Sarah)

Very friendly welcome. Advice on where to eat out (and a free taxi service to take us there). Great location. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped room. Huge breakfast! Would definitely stay again. Children not allowed (but seeing we had left ours behind it was a bonus!)
