I loved the location because I love the theatre district and the staff was very friendly. Rooms were small but comfortable. I would gladly go back I thought 10 pounds a day for internet was hight compared to most hotels these days and 30 free minutes a day is not that much.

Nice size room, comfortable bed, good shower, nice location. No free internet connection? Come on. I won't be staying here again simply for that reason. Laundry/dry-cleaning services are also grossly over-expensive.

Location and staff are excellent - but that is about it. Paying 2 gbp per bag to store at the hotel is ridiculous. Further, my room was so small I could hardly move without running into something - and the shower was terribly cramped. NEVER AGAIN! Paying 2 gbp per bag to store at the hotel is ridiculous. Staff, breakfast, general impression. We had an executive room, so spacy. Sound insulation - hear everything from the corridor. Too small bathroom, 2 GBP per suitcase to keep the suitcase before departure ! And ... no fridge for our New Year's Eve champagne ... Global impression : a bit disappointed for the price and the standard

The food in restaurant was very average and the attitude of staff was appalling, I would not choose hotel to stay in again, breakfast when I received it in room, pastries were stone cold, bread roll was not fresh, 1 day old and only 2 lifts out of 3 were working, come on it was New Year's Eve. The only reason I chose to stay at hotel was for location and convenience of party I went to near by

The location was excellent and I liked the modern design of the room I was extremely disappointed by the issues at check-in. The website says check-in at 2pm. We arrived just after 2 but out room was not ready, along with several other peoples. We were told it would be about 20 minutes and that someone would come and let us know when it was ready. No-one did and after 45 minutes I decided to go and check. I was told, almost incredulously that of course the room was ready for me. No-one had come to let me know though. We ended up not getting into our room until gone 3pm which unfortunately fouled our plans for that afternoon. I found it difficult to converse with the staff on the front desk as their English was a little broken and had strong accents. It was clear they also struggled to understand me as well. The bed in our room was extremely hard which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Finally, in the morning whilst we were in the bathroom, we could smell cigarette smoke coming through the vent in the ceiling. Although we received small compensation after complaining at the front desk about these issues, we will not be choosing to stay at The Strand Palace hotel the next time we visit London
