The staff are always attentive, efficient but not overbearing. Rooms are spotless. Breakfasts excellent value for money. It is one of the very few London hotels were single travellers can get single rooms at reasonable prices. I always stay at the Strand and have yet to be disappointed.

The hotel is ideally located for Covent Garden, the Strand and the West End. Check-in was easy and the staff seem nice enough. There is a really nice bar that my friends enjoyed drinking cocktails in. I know it's central London, but i have stayed in better hotels in London than this for around the same money, or even less. Whilst the rooms are comfortable there is very little that i would say was worth the money i paid. Finally, if there is a do not disturb sign on the door that means do not knock and try and enter the room at 0830 in the morning. This is not restricted to this hotel, but annoying all the same.

Apart from the hard bed, it was a comfortable hotel. Access for a wheel- chair user is at the side entrance. The restaurant had good food (Sunday lunch carvery) and adequate service. If my daughter gets married across the road again, I'll stay there again. The bed was hard. The restaurant service was slow - we ordered off two menus and that confused the waiting staff. The tv in the room did not produce any sound until 9am on Sunday morning.

Great location, near Covent Garden and the major tourist attractions Expensive for what you get, small room, thin walls (could easily hear my neighbors)

Easy central location. Room was clean and modern. Ideal for a quick stopover. Not suitable for car drivers as no parking and nearest secure parking is a fair walk.

I only had contact with the maids and the doorman. The maids were polite and very quick about doing their job. Excellent remarks for the maid services. The doorman was always friendly and was always saying hello, good morning, or good evening and he was always smiling. He always opened the door for me and he made my stay in the hotel very pleasant. Great location as well.

Good service Attention to detail somewhat lacking. Room well appointed but no air conditioning and no trouser-press in so-called 'Executive' room. Poor value for money.

L loved my stay in the strand hotel. The location was excellent and value for money very good.l would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to London and intend to stay there again on my stay. Only thing was l unhappy about was that our room was a bit on the small side.

We just used the hotel to sleep, so it was fine for that. The location is perfect, only couple of minutes from Covent Garden. From that Underground you can go directly to Heathrow Airport.
