All staff were very helpful , efficient and pleasant, food good quality served in pleasant surroundings twin bed room although small was spotless and quite comfortable with all amenities
When in room no matter what time you had to put the light on as small window partly shuttered presumably due to apartment buildings being so close
The whole friendly atmosphere, all staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
Central location, great breakfast buffet, very friendly staff
The location was excellent and the hotel was very smart and clean. The staff were polite and professional. Our room wasn't very big but the shower room was huge! The size of the room was perfectly adequate though and the facilities were good.
All good except the toilet roll holder was only about 10cm up from the floor and the shower head was too low to stand underneath.
The location is superb Breakfast was good wi--fi worked in bedroom
The noise level was awful and it was impossible to sleep. The room was tiny No draught beer in the bar and ludicrous prices for a bottle.
Brilliant breakfast. Carvery dinner was superb, too, and such a bargain! Location fabulous for theatre lovers.
Location was superb for walking to Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Eye and enjoying the sights and sounds of Covent Garden and Theatre land without the need to use the tube. Ideal when travelling with children. Hotel was clean and friendly but rooms are a little small if you plan to be in them for long. No problem if you are out and about and just sleeping there. I would definitely go again.
Windows dont open for security reasons but some fresh air would be good. Fans available in each room. Views at the back are poor but hey you cant have everything and there is so much to see and do outside.
Great location The room was spotlessly clean and the head housekeeper even checked in to ensure the room was clean / I was happy When I reported the hairdryer was faulty it was replaced within minutes Free, high speed wifi I was a single traveller and I felt completely safe and comfortable
Small room Internal room [As specially requested for quietness] so it meant it was quite dark
The hotel location was fabulous with a quiet room for sleeping. The room was clean and comfortable with good tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was wonderful. Wifi was great as well as the computer that enable me to download photos and clear up my camera memory stick. Great place.
Had a lovely stay at The Strand Palace. Efficient, smooth check-in ,given up-grade to a King room . A very pleasant and comfortable over-night stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean . Had a carvery lunch which was great and an unexpected treat. Superb breakfast . Location fantastic .
Great location, very friendly and attentive staff, WIFI included and available in all locations in the hotel, very comfortable bed, good breakfast, good service.
Rooms with no street view are a little depressing and dark. We were able to exchange it with a room with street view and preferred it (daylight, brighter).
Good food Clean Good location
No Aircon Very noisy
Location was great. Easy walk to Covent Gardens, Piccadilly Square, Trafalgar Square, London Eye - could list more iconic destinations. Comfortable bed.
Couldn't always connect to wifi (not too much of a drama)
The location was great, close to Westminster abbey and the palace. There was a place that we could arrange tourism and buy tickets, we could avoid long ques in tourist sites.
Wifi speed is not so fast.
Location. Restaurants. Wifi.
Service. Price. Very basic rooms, with no view. Too much noise, many parties going on.
Could have done with a better selection of cocktails
Location, towels, bed
There was not anything like that
The location was perfect for a first time visit to London.
The fact that it was close to theatres, the Savoy in particular. Breakfasts and Carvery were good. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Beds were too hard for us!
Location is excellent, in the CITY with close proxiity to Covent Garden, Trafalgar square, White Hall, river thames. Room business-like, clean, comfy bed, good internet.
The elevator takes over a minute before the door closes, especially in the morning a bit annoying stopping at every floor. However one can opt to take the stairs instead!
Efficiency and comprehensiveness of services.
Rather impersonal and lack of charm
Really good check-in. Clean room. Good quality bathroom products (liquid soap, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc) Fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers Comfortable bed and good pillows Helpful friendly staff
One ply toilet tissue
Staff in the restaurant were very stressed. Not a very nice relaxing breakfast.
Allowed us to book in at 10.30 - this was great as we were attending the Challenge Cup Final. Rooms were clean and functional. Breakfast was excellent Couldn't ask for a better position for all the sites
