Aidan House is a charming Victorian town house with free Wi-Fi and a fine position in Stratford-upon-Avon. The Shakespeare Theatre, restaurants and other local attractions are a few minutes’ walk...

Score from 155 reviews Fabulous 8.9/10
Awful mattress, too small and inconvenient mirror in the bathroom, lack of care for bathroom cleaning (toilet paper..., shower gel not checked and empty during the stay), no refill for tea bags... Compared to other B&Bs, no personality, and quite expensive compared to the quality expected.
Lovely room and shower .Breakfast excellent
Nothing negative to coment on
The location was very good The breakfast was very nice The proprietor was lovely (even though seemed a little disorganised)
Lack of towels in room on arrival No toiletries in room Tea/coffee not replenished in room Room overlooked busy main road so very noisy in early hours Internet didn't work Bathroom wasn't very clean on arrival
The rooms, although small, were very well equipped, furnished and clean.
The shower/toilet was very small, but not a problem for me as I am slim, but might be difficult for someone larger. The same might apply to the steps into the room for someone with mobility problems.
Very warm, friendly welcome. Very nice place in a great location
Lovely room and comfortable bed, with everything you need and when we asked for anything extra it was there. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice. The location was perfect for exploring all the sights on foot and the car parking at the front of the house was a bonus.
The host made sure that we knew how to get to the location. Also the rooms are cosy and welcoming, we had a big shower and a very comfortable bed. For the check-out we were bit late but the host did not seem bothered or in a rush to kick us out. Almost felt like home :)
Location was great for city centre. Enjoyed meeting other guests from around the world at breakfast. Very friendly.
Very good service under the owners very trying time with a bereavement.
Great staff very friendly and accommodating to us and very reasonable with prices. Would fully recommend to anyone and is within easy walking distance of the town.
Couldnt get wifi in my room but was available in the garden
The cramped, claustrophobic room. The cumbersome and inconvenient check-in arrangements.
Convenient parking. Clean. Friendly
They don't seem to plan for vegetarians
The price...very good value for a comfortable night's sleep, a hot shower and cooked breakfast. This is a family home with several B&B rooms. Ours appeared recently refurbished in a modern style. The room was a reasonable size for 3 adults. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms was modern, a good size and had plenty of hot water. Noise from other rooms was not a problem.
The parking in the front yard of the house was very tight. It is in what appears to be a slightly 'seedy' street but you can walk to the town center and river.
Walking distance to theatres
Incomplete refurbishments: builders' rubbish still laying around: ground-floor bedroom window obscured by a shed; and a very dangerous step down from hall to eating area, invisible to spectacle wearers.
The arrangement at breakfast where all the guests can sit at the same table was nice touch.
Couldnt stay longer...
Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Location from town centre was easily within walking distance.
Couldn't connect to wifi after certain times.
Quiet location within easy reach of all Shakespearian sites and town centre. The staff were helpful and friendly and the facilities were clean and well maintained. Breakfast choices were excellent.
Our room, a twin at the rear of the property, was adequate for a 1 night stay but rather tight and cramped for my "aging" but active 6 foot tall husband - particularly the en-suite shower room. It would probably serve 1 adult or two children better.
The room was very comfortable with good facilities within. Good location. Staff/owners were accommodating and very friendly. Would recomend.
Not much not to like, possibly not having a staff member accessible in person at the b&b at times. Car parking was a bit of a shuffle but easily solved.
Very friendly family run business, excellent access to Stratford, easy walking distance.Very good breakfast to suit all.
Nothing I or my friends can think of.
Great breakfast, nice family walking distance to town centre and the river.
Within comfortable walking distance of the town and the theatre. The room was spotless and bed very comfortable. A good breakfast was served in the conservatory with the guests being encouraged to mingle. Overall it was a pleasant stay with a nice friendly family atmosphere - we would definitely stay there again.
The double room was quite small but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Some building work was going on during our visit so it was a little noisy at times.
Location, breakfasts were good and the staff were approachable.
It appeared to us that the owners were trying to squeeze too much income out of the property, as a result everything appeared to be being done on a shoestring. Our room was very small, the sink in the en-suite too small to be of practicable use. Maintenance / building work was being carried out whilst we were having breakfast on the second day. Fellow guests told us that as a result of some paving slabs being laid outside their window the previous day a lot of dust had got into their room. In general I felt the staff, although approachable, were rather out of their depth and not very professional. We will definitely not be staying there again.
the breakfast was good, the location was excellent. Staff were friendly and the rooms were nice.
It was very noisy
Very warm welcome, lovely room, comfortable bed, good range of options for breakfast and reasonably good location for the theatre and town centre.
Would have preferred to have had the option to sit alone with my wife at breakfast rather than sharing a larger table with other guests, but a minor gripe and probably more evidence of my poor social skills than anything else!
The owner was not there at time of arrival, but the lady called me to let me know that she was out. On arrival we could go in anyway. The room was specious enough and well equipped. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the town center. Breakfast and the service was very good. Would recommend.
The room was quite warm, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable.
