This property is in a good location being within about 10 minutes walk into the township.
We found our hostess preoccupied with her small children. This should be the way but not if you are running a B & B. Inside was stifling hot and our room smelt. We were welcomed to sit anywhere for breakfast but then we and other guests were then moved because she had a plan in her head. Her own vehicle was parked blocking in most of the guests cars so had to ask her to move it. Not very clean. Sorry would not recommend to others.
We stayed for two nights and the place was perfect with it close location to the town centre in easy walking distance. Great to stay at a kid friendly place and my son had breakfast on his own kids table watching pepa pig so he was happy so we had a nice quite breakfast .
Easy to find and park. Easy to walk to the theatres and shops. Easy location for heading south to Oxford. Friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast had good choice.
Excellent location, friendly staff, nice breakfast
Unfortunately the beds were very soft and the furnishings quite basic with difficult handles that were not secure.
Great location, friendly welcoming staff who were accommodating for those with children
Good off road parking only five minute walk to centre
Breakfast. Varied options. Lovely en-suite with a mood light Friendly owners who were very thoughtful :even fed me one night when I got back from Cheshire late! The also texted me to say I had left a bag so I could retrieve it before I returned to Suffolk. The location was very convenient.
Room was a bit warm and I didn't need the central heating on in September. Shower door need some WD40 but, heh, that is soooooo minor when compared against the fabulous positives.
Good location, we enjoyed our weekend.
A little disappointing at breakfast when asked for glasses & Juice not given, some things missing on dining table, poor with toast.
Easy walk to town. Easy location to find.nice young people running it, nice to see ther children playing in the back but they were nice and quite. Would stay again
Modern decor and bathroom fixtures. Good sleep and shower. Friendly staff and great service.
Breakfast seating slightly cramped at same table.
Location - within a 10 minute walk of everything
Wi-Fi was constantly dropping in and out.
Its very close to town - Free Car park - Breakfast menu is superb - Bed is confortable -
The room wasnt fully vacuumed on arrival - The room had a strong smell of dirty feet - Noisy in the morning - No WIFI access ( Only one small corner of the room ) -
Our first holiday with our baby son, naturally apprehensive but Natasha & her team made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. One of the cleanest places to stay I have come across in my travels both for leisure & business and the coffee is amazing!
Our trip was too short
The room was very charming, with a great walk-in shower, a brand new TV, and a wonderful bed. The people are wonderful, too.
Friendly, excellent service. Accommodating with late time of arrival and was allowed to leave luggage there after check-out. Place is clean and comfortable. Location is good, short walk to train station and to town.
breakfast was good selection of cereals ok room clean
greeting poor needed redecorating just a coat of emulsion shower mat require by sink to allow you to dry off without standing in water contacting owners not easy only answer phone not always responded too
Friendly welcome easy parking: Bedroom good size for two, bathroom good. Wi-Fi a bonus. Excellent choice of breakfasts: Nice to see a couple with two young children managing to cope with the guests so well:
* Lovely, considerate, friendly owners- a family and the B&B is large extension of their home * Very personal touches such as After Eight mints left on our pillows, when we came back everyday, even our toothbrushes were arranged in a plastic beaker provided, instead of being on the side where we left them * Freeview TV with DVD player * modern shower with a colour changing light that's best seen at night * mood lighting in room * breakfast in bed service for no extra charge (this was perfect for surprised my boyfriend on the first morning) * bedside fan, which really came in handy as it was a very hot week * DELICIOUS food! Had a traditional breakfast everyday but they weren't too heavy and the sausage and bacon were grilled so it left me feeling satisfyingly full but not like i had a grease binge * digestives replenished every day and lots of tea, coffee and sugar in room * very close to amenities, 10min walk to town centre * very lovely townsfolk and places: i HIGHLY recommend The Creaky Cauldron ( a short walk down from Shakespeare's birthplace- perfect for geeks!!) and Tudor World (opposite the Rose and Crown pub, which does amazing food)
*Having to leave so soon! ( stayed for 3 nights * I'll admit that the fluffy throw/blanket that was lying on our bed had very questionable and dodgy stains on the underside of it, (lets just say that it looked like it was used for a very 'romantic' night, previously) so we removed it for the remainder of the stay, but other than that, not a lot.
It has been well appointed, is very clean, with friendly owners, and is in a perfect location just a short walk from the centre. Very convenient and with enough parking for one car per room.
Stratford House looks great, but the size of the property, and the way it is constructed and run, can't really sustain it. Our bathroom was so small that it was impossible to stand upright between basin and sink, that when trying to wash my face, my bottom hit the door and my face hit the shelf (and I am not hugely tall) and that you have to step out into the bedroom in order even to pull your trousers up. The dining table was a decent size, but the 'designer' crockery was too big and square, making it difficult to move and eat. The breakfast menu was good, but the level of service meant that, over two mornings, despite asking a total of 6 times, we never saw a single slice of toast - not exactly the hardest thing to cook. Also there is little in the way of sound proofing, so the dog (which had been left on its own by the owners, we presumed) barked whenever someone walked past its door and its barks could be clearly heard in our room on the other side of the house, and so could the conversations and footsteps of the people upstairs when they came back at 1am and woke us up. Oh, and our window looked out onto a shed. It all looks great, and a lot of effort has gone into it, but it doesn't quite work.
room was nice

All good! Breakfast delicious!
Clean, pleasant surroundings, comfortable beds, good parking and nice breakfast.
The bathroom was very restricting for space as it was positioned under the eaves - impossible for taller people to use without banging into something. Perhaps some warning of this might be helpful.
Great location with parking. Very short walk into town. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast Owners very helpful and flexible on check-in time
Breakfast - good selection on offer. Located conveniently close to town centre.
No-one available when we arrived. View of shed wall out of window
