Lovely rooms, excellent value for money, nicely laid out - bar and dining facilities were lovely. Central location although we werent quite sure where abouts we were. Absolutely awful service from staff. At the bar ordered a guiness and pimms and lemonade. The bill came to over £14. The bar staff then served the guiness, then 3 other people before going off to find the pimms. I waited 20 minutes for my drink. The same in the restaurant - 20 mins before anyone took our order, 45 mins before we ate anything. Very very very painfully slow. We were on the inclusive package and felt that this restricted our ability to do anything about it, like not pay for the awful service!!! Would recommend but will warn of sevice to others

Good sized rooms with comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Horrible pillows - there must be an alternative that doesn't contain feathers but isn't quite so hard. I had neck ache as a result and couldn't get comfortable. Coffee really poor at breakfast - hot, brown but tasteless.

Close to the city centre , but not in the city centre. In quiet grounds. Good food, friendly staff, a gym for a quick burst of exercise. Close to the train station On a busy traffic corner, just made it awkward to get across the road when walking, and need to be awre of queues at rush hour.

Good location & parking easy access to the theatre excellent upgraded room supplied as we are Breakaway club members Very surprised to be charged £10 for parking we have stayed at this hotel many times & never been charged before. No mention of parking charges on your web site & would suggest that Breakaway club members should have free parking as a benefit of membership ! Would like more q hotels in the North & South West

It's so nice, quiet hotel with a high cooperative hotel staff especially the restaurant staff and reception staff too. The hotel gardens are so nice and the hotel position near by the Strafford Upon Avon train station is so nice and important. Only one thing, there is no wireless internet in the rooms.

Helpful, smiling staff who dealt with additional requirements promptly. Good quality room furnishings. Breakfast buffet items hot and kept topped up and plenty of staff on hand to ensure everything in order. Faulty controls in one of the lifts (the one closest to the desk) - it failed to respond to demand for approx 30 seconds but then moved just before I pressed the alarm button. Extra charge for car parking - I expect this to be included in the rate. It smacks of Ryanair.

Tthe location and bedroom decor. We were very disappointed with the room. The decor was excellent, however the room was small and claustrophobic. The ceilings by the dormer window was dangerous, both my husband and I bumped our heads on a couple of occasions. It didn't help that there were 2 armchairs under the window which were of no use as when standing our heads hit the ceiling. It was particularly disappointing as I had made a conscious decision to stay in a 4* hotel to provide comfort as we on a previous visit to the theatre we stayed in a B&B which also had a small room. On the basis of the above we would be very reticent to stay at the Stratford again for our regular theatre visits.

It had a very 'comfortable' feel about it, nice lounges to chill out in with very attentive staff. Nice dining area, the breakfasts were particularly appealing and set in a relaxed environment - did not feel 'hurried' at all! Idealy positioned for walking to the centre of Stratford, approx 5 minutes max. With the railway station within a 2 minute walk to suit travel for those without their own transport. Decor/style was very cosmopolitan, clean and very comfortable. We would definately recommend to our friends and family. Charge for overnight parking was excessive. Design of 'Basin' in our bathroom might not suit a family with young children.

Our stay in the Stratford was very comfortable, staff were friendly and the breakfast offered a good range and was very enjoyable. I noticed on the breakfast menu that soya milk was available on request this would have been useful to know in advance as I would have brought my own. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the carpark. There was some noise from deliveries in the morning, although this was only for a short time.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plenty to choose from. Would definately stay there again if visiting Straford in the future, and would certainly recommend to friends. The only thing I would comment on was the TV. There are only a few channels to chose from, so not a great selection - I think they were channels 1-5 as normal, plus ITV2 and Sky Sports News. Not the normal freeview channels you get. There was the option to watch movies (not just of the adult variety!!) but they wouldn't work. I would have stuck on Bridesmaids while I was getting ready for the evening (which was advertised on the menu), but I couldn't!?

The hotel was much better than expected - modern, clean, nice decor, spacious. The look of the building from the outside is a bit offputting as it looks like a conference centre and less like a hotel for a couple on a city break. However, on entering I was pleasantly surprised. The decor of our room was very nice, modern, fresh. Everything looked brand new, including the bathroom. Tired, grubby bathrooms are my pet hate and this was definitely not that. Breakfast was also very nice. There was lots to chose from and the food was fresh and tasty. All the staff that we met were pleasant and friendly. I would stay here again and recommend it. The only real downside was that I found three black hairs in the bath which I really can't stand. It felt as if it hadn't been cleaned as well as it should. This was a shame as the bathroom was otherwise really nice. When we arrived our bedroom was really cold. We turned up the heating temperature and speed but it didn't seem to make a difference. We mentioned this to the reception on our way out that afternoon and she said she would look into it. I'm not sure what they did, but it was lovely and warm when we got back later that day. The hotel was quite empty which was a shame as we would have liked to have a drink in the bar but would have been the only people most of the time. This might just be because it was the day before Good Friday and a quiet day generally.
