The Strathardle Inn

Food/Menu. Good breakfast. Good beer. Comfortable room with good shower.

We stayed five nights, with the aim of climbing some nearby Munros. Great location, good for access to the mountains and to the Glenshee ski area. Great room, spacious and comfortable. Quiet at night for a good sleet. Food excellent, with good choice and reasonably priced. Hotel staff very welcoming.

Close to the ski slopes. Traditional country house. Modern, clean, very spacious room in the outside cottages. Amazing food and attentive staff.

only a minor thing, but it would have been nice to have a bath as well as a shower

Staff were extremely helpful. Bar was well stocked with real ale and whiskies.Staff and locals were friendly and also welcomed our dog. Food was excellent and reasonable in price.

Could have had a bigger television in room and a fridge in the room would be useful as I take a yogurt (one that decreases my cholesterol) each morning.

The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel was quite while we were there but nothing was to much trouble. The food was very good!! Very good value for money.

Ok but see some comments below but not good value for money as we were in Scotland for 10 days that the other hotels (3 star) were very good. All breakfast were very good. Bed very comfortable. In fact we were not told to choose which bedroom as there was an annexe we did not want in the first place so transferred to room in the main building!

In room no. 4 - Curtain in bedroom not covered whole area of window and some hooks on right side were off the rail.Needing extra plug points for charging mobile phones and laptop? Ceiling light shade needs to be dusted! In bathroom - toilet seat wobble. On top left side of washbasin showing strip of sealant which was not nice by sight! Inside of cabinet under washbasin needs to be checked! The room needs to be refreshed.

We've just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel and I can't recommend it too highly. The minute we stepped in the door, we were greeted by the friendly staff and shown our rooms, which were comfortable and clean. The atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and old worldly. We booked dinner and it turned out to be superb. I had the best venison I have ever tasted and my father's scampi was delicious. Our only complaint was the portions were huge but we managed to clear our plate and have the dessert which was equally delicious! The location of this hotel is fabulous - close to Pitlochry and Blairgowrie - yet tranquil with the sound of the nearby river. Give yourself a treat and try it - we'll definitely go back.

Lovely room with large new bathroom. Very good value for money in a quite location. The meals were very good, large portions along with helpful staff.

The WiFi was bad, apparently the whole town is bad, not just the Inn.

Convenient with very good food and choice of meals. Room had been upgraded and improved. Staff were very friendly.

Poor reception on tv - I wouldn`t normally mention but we were trying to watch the opening of the Olympics.

It was large enough to be efficient, but not so large that it lost its individuality.

Neighbouring extractor fans in toilets could be heard easily.

We stayed at the Strathardle Inn on the first leg of the Cateran Trail. Our hosts could not have been more helpful when we discovered our accommodation for the Sunday night had been cancelled. They offered to collect us from Kirton of Glenisla and return us to the same point the following morning to continue the rest of the trail. Very nice and helpful staff.

Ein Inn, wie man ihn sich vorstellt. Gemütlich, freundlich, gutes Essen und gute Bar ! Ein sehr guter Inn und schön gelegen. Schottland pur ! Man darf nicht vergessen, es ist ein Inn und kein Hotel !

La comida del restaurante muy bien. Las habitaciones no están mal pero no son las mejores que puedes encontrar. Está en el campo en plena naturaleza, y alguna araña nos encontramos en el baño (normal) pero encima de la cama había toda una tela de araña de un lado al otro... (esto creemos que es por falta de limpieza, cuidado y un poco de vista...)
