It was close to the city centre, close to the club we had tickets for and staff were very helpful with directions etc.... our room was fine but the glasses int he bathroom had not been either changed or cleaned properly as they had finger and lip marks on them. |

The room had a good range of useful items trouser press, iron broad and the water was hot (trivial) but important. The food was for group function was a surprise as vegetarian I normally have a very bland meal. The downsides are the following • lift was in poor state of repair, carpet, doors and felt very clunky i.e. going to break down! • TV reception a bit poor, • no expeller in bath room. Major criticism has to be breakfast – offer option full English or Continental but very poor: • Presentation poor • One selection fruit i.e. only grapefruit segments • No pastries i.e. croissants • Hot food – no vegetarian options, scrambled eggs not edible, at one stage hot food ‘run’ out, why no cook this fresh on demand, I know people would rather wait to have better quality and hot then self service • No marmite |

The hotel is older that it seems in the photos. Nevertheless, it is furnished with taste and it is clean, comfortable and quiet. Coffe, tea and cookies facilities at the room. Satisfactory wireless connection at the room and printing facilities at the reception (free of charge). Phone at the room. Shower with a strong water pressure and effective hot water. Shampoo, soap, shower gel, shower cap. Friendly staff. Great location. If you don't want to spend money in the hotel's breakfast, you may go to a coffe shop about 5 min walking distance. I would recommend it to a nice short break in Nottingham to business, shopping or stroll. The reasonable number of stairsteps at the entrance. However,when I've asked for another entrance, I have been informed that there is a more easy entrance by the bar, in case of a heavy luggage. |

the lady on reception when I arrived was friendly and helpful. the room its self was ideal and comfortable. the gentleman on reception in the evening, I met a friend in town that evening to talk about personal and important business but when I arrived back at my hotel the gentleman on reception was rude and wouldn't let me take my friend up to my room, so I had to discuss my business in the foyer, surely if you pay for a room and no breakfast is included you should be able to invite people back for a drink. |

Very clean pleasant decor fairly well equipped. Extremely uncomfortable bed. Surly Waiter at breakast who gave some attitude when I pointed out he had brought tea rather than coffee. |

Staff helpful and friendly. Location excellent. Silverfish in baithroom. Loose toilet seat in bathroom. Loose floor tiles in bathroom. Shower curtain did not reach floor allowing some splashing onto bathroom floor. |
