Not much .. But would have like some fruit and yogurt with breakfast
Parking facility good . Girl behind the bar pleasant and efficient
Receptionist rude and unhelpful . Mildew all round the bathroom room small for the price . Nobody to greet you at breakfast and it was cold . If known about this before would have paid taxi fare home instead
I liked everything - nobody could do enough to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The food was excellent, and the Rooms were warm, clean and freshly face lifted.
The corridor Firedoors had a tendency to bang during the night - perhaps they need a spot of adjustment. Other than that small gripe, everything was working and on the money.
New dining room for breakfast.
Coffee at breakfast tasted like instant and was rather nasty. No tooth mugs.
- Great location. Going to LG Arena for gig. Hotel 100 metres from bus stop, then 13 minutes bus journey right to NEC walkway from bus stop. - Good condition room. In the new extension, room size good, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and spacious with good shower. - Very friendly welcome at check in, at bar and in restaurant at breakfast. - Excellent full English breakfast included in price, and good quality evening meal at a reasonable price.
Great value, good location and close to NEC. Excellent breakfast, comfortable room.
The room size and the bed was quite good. The morning coffee during breakfast was very nice. Convenient to find and the views from the dining area were quite nice
The strong new paint smell as refurbishing was going on & decorators were working near my room. Kept window open all night for fresh air. Orange juice served at breakfast was warm, had to get ice and then yes it was fine.
Recently refurbished Very comfortable hotel Staff, facilities and food was all excellent
staff friendly will be lovely when the refurb is finished the new bar and restaurant are lovely.
Location for the NEC is very good and great value for money and will be even better when all the rooms are renovated.
Room had been fully refurnished and was very good, much better than shown on the web site Breakfast was full English with a good varied choice, not the continental breakfast advertised so this was a plus
Excellent food served in a pleasant dining room, by attentive staff. All at a very competitive price. Most public rooms okay. Good car park.
Bedroom tiny, with a sloping roof that created headroom problems. This was not the room that we booked. Standing in the 'male' position to use the toilet, impossible because of said sloping roof. Sleep impossible before 3.00am because of returning noisy revellers. The room was situated above reception so we had the din of returning taxis AND 'happy' party goers in the corridor.
The bed was very comfortable
Attitude of the staff was poor-not very friendly or helpful. The male receptionist had a face like thunder in the morning. Think that the other receptionist had had a few words with him. This however should not have been passed onto us. Room on arrival was cold and the heater didn't work. We were woken up very early by the builders in the room near us. I wasn't told of this when I booked. The breakfast was poor-cold plates for the cooked breakfast. Bacon was extremely tough!!
Location excellent for visit to NEC. Breakfast in restaurant very good.
Unfortunately when we checked in we asked if we needed to booked for restaurant that evening and were told no they had tables free. However after having a drink in the bar we went round to the restaurant only to be told it was full. However luckily there was a pub/inn just across the road and they served us a lovely meal thankfully
Place was very clean, staff were friendly, food was good. Bed was amazing! all in all a good experience.
Only two thing that I didn't like that are quite minor, there was a firedoor outside our room, which slammed every time someone used in, waking me up from! I know you need them, but surly you can use buffers or something to stop the doors slamming. Other thing was, when I searched for this place I looked for places near the lg Arena. All the search things said between 2.6miles-3.2. Perfect walking distance! Until we arrive and the staff inform us that there's a motorway inbetween and we have to get a taxi, bus or drive! wasn't a problem for us and no children etc, but would of been nice to be informed somewhere as might of changed me booking there at the time.
The breakfast was excellent, and the room size and bathroom were great and very clean. Prior to the visit my room was adjusted from a twin to a double with a sofa bed to accommodate my daughter. The receptionist was welcoming, and the resteraunt staff made a late but welcome effort to fit us into the dining room.
The bed was lumpy and creaky. The lack of organisation for accommodation of guests wanting to eat in the restaurant (though in all fairness the staff did make an effort to seat us eventually)
clean pleasant room, quiet, great spot for the NEC and Birmingham
our mattress was definitely past it's sell by date, sagged in middle and a bit hard
Cleanliness Bathroom facilities Decor TV Peace and Quiet Breakfast Staff
It was clean, comfortable and friendly. I would stay again.
The staff were friendly
The smoke alarm had a red flashing light over the bed. I couldnt sleep. The electrics sockets were not working by the desk. I had to plug the kettle and my hairdryer into the only live socket under the eves of the roof. not good
Location to NEC Breakfast available - although someof the food was on the cold side On site parking
Bathroom a little outdated Arrived 9pm, wanted light food not restaurant meal - told wait for food in bar was 1 hour ( seemed excessive at that time of night and the fact it didnt look very busy at all). Ended up with a sandwich from a local shop! Seemed a little high priced for what you got
Ever think was good thx
Staff were very accommodating and always happy to help.
Location handy for the NEC. Free car park. Reception staff pleasant.
No good if you are a vegetarian or you want a healthy breakfast! No fruit one morning. They told us they stopped getting yogurt some time ago and then when they said they would get some soya milk for the following morning we were then told they had forgotten! Customer service very poor. Also on the first evening we went to the restaurant for dinner to find it must have been hovering just above freezing point! One table of people with their coats on so we just couldn't stay. When we complained the following morning they said they weren't aware! I think they were more interested in having people in the bar next door which was very noisy. We wont go again.
