Strawberry Bank Hotel  

I am a regular visitor to The Strawberry Bank. I have used other hotels in the same area which were a little cheaper but " you get what you pay for" and this hotel is always clean and friendly with good service. I am now in my second week here

Nice hotel for the money - really good restaurant and very close to the nec

Room could have been cleaner and breakfeast was a bit disorganised due to the hotel being quite full and tables being reserved which I thought inappropriate to the other guests.

Great location close to NEC and National Motorcycle museum at a very reasonable price. Good clean comfortable accomodation suitable for business or leisure use. Nice breakfast. Would definately stay again or recommend to friends.

The evening menu in the on-site restaurant looked good at a reasonable price and was told that last food orders were taken at 9.30pm however got delayed and restaurant had closed before 9, shame!

The overall standard of the staff was excellent and they were all very helpful when we needed to speak to them. The breakfast was lovely and covered pretty much everything you could want, again with helpful staff. The room itself was clean and well laid out, the maids etc. do an excellent job with what they have to work with.

The room we stayed in was underlit for the size of room. The window blind wouldn't shut and was stuck halfway open, luckily there was a curtain that could be shut. The room itself was lacking, this is due to the paint peeling in the bathroom, the mattress being very soft and uncomfortable (which may be personal preference rather than an actual issue) and the marks on the walls in the room.

Convenience for the NEC

It is convenient, friendly, and fairly-priced. I asked in advance for black-pudding and it was provided. Freshly-cooked breakfast on Monday was excellent.

On Tuesday: The black-pudding was cooked on one side and frozen on the other (health risk); I had to ask for toast (waiter/waitress should always ask up front); The plates put out for the buffet breakfast were stone-cold.

The cleanliness of the whole Hotel was excellent

The Hotel is very dated and the walls very thin you can hear everyone moving about.

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, decent sized room for price, pleasant gardens.

Couldn't get Wi-fi connection (I wouldn't normally bother), some decor a little dated

Friendly and helpful staff hard working and always willing to help. Excellent food service tasteful and served well. We were invited to a family dinner at this venue and booked ad hoc, there were 3 double bookings in our party and everyone was delighted with the service we experienced, so much so that it has been considered a weekend get away as the Hotel is situated in beautiiful grounds and location.

We couldn'tstay longer due to other commitments

As it was a family party arranged the location for many of us attending and having traveled a distance it was very good , plenty of parking eay to find and the resturant just ideal

Well run, efficient. Friendly staff. Pleasant surroundings. Lovely breakfast!
