Nothing much i didnt like, noisy bed when turning over, loud building work, but only temp thing
Very friendly staff very helpful. Refurb underway which will be a big plus for this hotel.
A few minutes away from Forest of Arden golf course,
The Dining room has been updated and is a lot warmer than before... also the garden is being tidied up..... both big improvement
We waited a long time for the meal, and had to have a different choice, but we did not have to pay for the main course. Could do with more choice for continental breakfast.
The friendliness of the staff and the lovely food in the restaurant
It was too hot and we could not turn the radiator in the bathroom off
Close to NEC Friendly. efficient staff
A bit tatty all round
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel in lovely condition Choice of breakfast with no additional cost. Overall stay an absolute pleasure and I will definitely stay there again. Thank you!
As a smoker there was nowhere to get out of the rain, so had to sit in my car.
Friendly staff, who were eager to help with directions. The food in the restaurant was fab as was the staff. I would stay here again but maybe a different room.
I got the room with the sloping roof, hence I bumped my head a few times. Maybe a reorganising of the room might help and a little updating would be great.
1) Breakfast was spot on 2) BAR WAS GOOD 3) STAFF LISTENED TO EVERYONES COMPLAINTS AND ACTED ACCORDINGLY 4) ASKED FOR AND RECEIVED A FULL REFUND (WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE FOR A MANAGER TO APOLOGISE RATHER THAN STAFF BEING LEFT TO FEND OFF COMPLAINTS)
1) Five fire alarm ringings at 21:30, 21:50, 22:40, 01:10 and 03:30 2) POWER WENT OFF TO THE SOCKETS AT 00:30 3) WATER CAME OUT OF THE BATH TAP AND SHOWER AT THE SAME TIME THE WATER WAS COLD AT 09:30 4) REFERBISHMENT OF THE ROOM ABOVE BEGAN AT 08:00 HAMMERING, SWEEPING, SAWING AND GENERAL BUILDING NOISES ON BARE FLOORBOARDS 5) CORRIDORS SMELT OF SMOKE TRACED TO THE GARDENERS BONFIRE
Value for money excellent meals location to nec
Fire alarms going off late evening and during the night lack of hot water in the hot water in morning
Within easy reach of NEC and motorway access but much cheaper than hotels in Birmingham itself.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining room and reception area were well decorated and clean.
Our bedroom was a little shabby and dated. Although it appeared at first glance to be reasonably clean, I did find hair in the bath and a massive cobweb by the dressing table.
The location was ideal for us
The early morning drilling, and banging. I expect that there were renovations or repairs going on, but it started a bit early for our liking.
Food and staff excellent
Fire doors were very noisy. There were two near our room and every time someone went through them they banged and as quest were coming in late and going early in the morning a very noisy nights sleep, but only have this complaint.
lovely hotel, the staff were warm and friendly, great facilities, the room was was to a high standard, would definitely visit again, 10 out of 10!
Very comfortable beds and superb breakfast
Shower took time to adjust to acceptable temperature but refurb in progress will certainly put this right.
Proximity to NEC. Superb telephone response. Recommended.
Herd of elephants upstairs at 6.30 am on a Sunday!
They fixed the shower when I asked them to!
Only plus was the new bar/restaurant
I've never been back in time, I have now! Every aspect of the room takes you back to the 70's. The television is at least 25 years old and tiny. This was a last resort booking, it will continue to be a last resort too.
Brilliant value, to include cooked breakfast. Staff attentive and helpful. Pleasant and comfortable surroundings in the re-furbished restaurant. Although rooms needed up-dating, ours was very clean and the bed comfortable. Excellently placed for the NEC - it only took 10 minutes to get there at 9am.
The temperature of the shower was very difficult to control. Wished I had taken a bath instead!
The hotel is convenient. The upgrade to the bar and restaurant has made a big difference. Breakfast was much better than in the past. Plenty of free parking.
The rooms need upgrading but I know that this is the next phase.
The reception staff were very friendly and professional. They remember your name and always had a lovely conversation with you.
The hotel smelt of Cat wee, especially the corridor leading to room 229. Also the decor was extremely dated (circa 92.), the shower curtain was moldy at the bottom, and the carpet was full of stains. Disgusting.
No free wifi in the rooms.
easy booking,excelant rates,good cooked breakfast,lovely village,easy to locate.
What great value. The room was clean the bathroom was spotless. We had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice. The breakfast was very good considering it was in with the price of the room. Would defanatly stay again.
