Fresh Salmon, Trout and Lamb from Lochaber are examples of the local produce that regularly features on the menu at the Stronlossit Hotel Restaurant. Delicious Highland fare is the order of the day, and the chefs at Stronlossit know how to make the most of Scotland's natural pantry.

Comfortable and attractive bedrooms combining modern decor and traditional quality furnishings. All bedrooms have garden and mountain views.

Area information

Being only a short distance from Fort William on the A86 makes the Stronlossit Inn the ideal base from which to explore the Highlands.

The entire area is perfect for hikers, climbers and ramblers. Eight miles towards the town of Fort William is the Nevis Range gondola-style cable cart running to a restaurant 2,300 ft up Aonach Mor. This gives access to the ski slopes in winter and sightseeing and walking in summer, with stupendous views of the Great Glen and the Inner Hebrides.

Rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean and were big enough to not feel cramped. The staff was friendly and the meals were very good. My parents room was great. In our room, the bathroom was a little smaller which was not a problem but there was no shelf on which to put items like shaving gear, etc. on. Het ruikt er prettig. Tweemaal diner gebruikt: matig tot slecht. Steak beide keren te doorbakken. Steak wordt op een bakplaatje geserveerd, alles zit daardoor onder de vetspetters (inclusief uw kleding). Kipfilet niet gebakken maar doorgekookt (droge hap). Rijst drijft in de saus. Advies: blijf er niet eten. Receptionist/bartender (= eigenaar?) heeft geen schone handen (zwarte nagels). Serveerster (= eigenaresse?) doet erg zenuwachtig, ziet er niet verzorgd uit.
