Nice period building with character which has been decorated in an appropriate style My single room was very small and the soundproofing between rooms wasn't that good

Quiet yet central location. Friendly atmosphere. Shower in my room was very poor. Heating was not on, and I could find no way of turning it on. It was chilly.

The staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was large, clean and very comfortable as were the public areas. Also although it is convenient for the town centre it's location is very quiet and pleasant. Great for a quiet weekend away. Slightly on the expensive side- more of a treat than a place to regularly visit.

Very good room and bathroom. The standard of the food was so poor, almost chips with everything!!! Not much choice for wine by the glass, the bar needed a good refurbishment. Would not go there again

Service from all the staff was impeccable.... Very warm and attentive in reception, restaurant, bar. Very pleasant atmosphere, quiet surroundings, comfortable beds and room. The location was slightly further out of town than I had expected.

Comfortable friendly hotel, no fuss, just homely accomodation at a good price. Having a cut off at 9:00 am for cooked breakfast especially at weekends is tough for us older guys who want a lay in after a long drive.

Friendly staff but seemed untrained. Room was hot no aircon, little plastic fan but didnt really help, bed uncomfortable, shower was one of the weakest ever weve had in a hotel. Breakfast small one bacon one sausage one egg little mushrooms and tomato you have to pay extra for beans, hash browns and toast!! Served on a small plate so looks bigger, spent £22 a head on an evening meal, prawn starter tasteless prawns, and lamb shank bland sauce. Had a bottle of red wine screw top placed on table unopened.

We had a three-day break in the Stuart House and found it very comfortable. The bus service in that part of Norfolk is very good so our car stayed in the hotel's rear car park from arrival to departure. The walk to the bus station in the centre of town is a 10 -12 minutes through a pleasant park. We liked the 'touch rather than swipe' key cards. Nice breakfasts. We had to be a little persistant as the wi-fi didn't work when we arrived, but it was fixed a day later.

We stayed in the "Lodge" across the road from the main hotel. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and well furnished, with good en-suite facilities and dressing area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast were very good with plenty of choice, but the evening meal were disappointing. It would have been nice to have had some locally caught fish or crab on the menu instead of being taken from the freezer, also that the Soup of the Day was always uninspiring tomato and basil.

Nice hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, bed was very comfortable and shower powerful. All the essentials for a good stay. Unfortunately the on the day we went they were short staffed at breakfast, which made for a bit of a wait. Also the room could have been a little cleaner - specifically the door handles and chairs.

The rooms were traditional and comfortable. It was more of a b&b than hotel but certainly acceptable. Breakfast was served until 9.30 on Sunday morning and we came down around 9.20 - the breakfast was certainly depleted by that time and no table ready. We had to wait while one table was cleared and a clean tablecloth was not forthcoming!
