Large bedroom ,modern bathroom. Very clean through out and comfortable bed. Gorgeous breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble.
nothing it was a brilliant stay
Good sized room.Restaurant on the same premises.....very useful in Winter, not far to walk!
Tired decor in the room we were given.
Superb restaurant; well chosen menu. Locally sourced meat and vegetables. Quiet site, despite central town location. Large free car park. Friendly staff.
Arrived late and had difficulty locating the car park in the dark. Signage could be improved.
I've been staying at Stumbles on and off for the last 15 years or so (family in town). I rang on the off-chance that my Springer spaniel could stay and Patrick was delighted - she even had her own cooked breakfast! There was no extra charge for her and we were both made very welcome. I've stayed here with my two boys before and we always receive a warm welcome. The breakfasts are awesome and the staff (don't like that term), are always helpful and friendly. Can't recommend it highly enough. My room had a shiny new bathroom - lovely! :) We stayed over Xmas and the room was serviced every day (even Christmas).
Nothing!!! Except I can't get down there more often!
This was our third visit, It is always an enjoyable experience, the beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and inviting, staff are pleasant and welcoming. The menu in the resurant is varied and very good, excellent value for money. IWe would recommend this resturant and rooms.
We could not complain about anything.
Parking Comfortable bed
terrible hair dryer No wifi in room Poor insulation. I heard people in the room above walking around at 6am!!
food was great,
bed was too hard, and heating either too hot or too cold
Great central position, in South Moulton.
Make sure when booking, if you want breakfast, to tick box. We did not, and breakfast worked out at £10 each. Not planned for! Being woken each morning between 6-7 a.m. by staff next door, also can see into their outside toilet from bedroom window.
Large room with settee and good size table. Able to adjust temperature easily.
Lots of flies buzzing on the bedroom windows (cattle market behind but they should have been got rid of). Mouldy shower curtain with squashed flies. Squeaky headboard - enough to wake you up when turning over. Bit of a grumpy response when I suggested that £10 was excessive for a bit of melon, toast and coffee (did refund though)
Accomodating staff with homely settings of the room. Basic needs inside the room wouldn't be a worry. Planning to come back.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm and cosy. We had an excellent lunch in the restaurant and also the location was perfect for our trip. The staff were most helpful at all times.
The bathroom in room No.1 needed an update and the shower cubicle was far too small.
Lovely Room. Friendly and relaxed. Excellent food available.
We liked the layout of the room.We liked the idea of a fridge in the room..
Shame breakfast wasn't included in the price.
Good location and parking avaialble. Very friendly reception and fresh milk in bedroom. Bedroom nice size and comfortable bed.
Unable to get breakfast until late. No offer made for something simple (toast, cereal etc) Should mention this on website etc as would therefore not recommend for someone with need to be out before 8.30. Bathroom quite tired and really poor shower although clean.
Food and the welcome
Limited bar choice
I liked to fact that there was a restaurant attached to the rooms but felt obligued to eat there, the food was nice but over priced and extremely rich which made me ill.
The room and bathroom was old and tatty, I had to clean the bathroom due the bath, sink and drinking glasses being covered in facial hair from the last guests shaving, the towels were old, stained and yet again contained someone elses hair. We had to take the breakfast to our room due to our early start but was only offered a small box of cereal and small jug of milk, very poor overall. I asked for secure bike storage but had to shove them in a shared conservatory where they could have been taken at any time.
Mine host couldn't have been more welcoming, the quality of the evening meal was excellent and very good value. The room was large and spacious with a very comfortable settee.
Nothing really, the bathroom is a little dated but perfectly functional with plenty of towels.
Excellent breakfasts and comfortable beds.
Early time for last breakfast but the emphasis is "tea room with rooms" Early evening closing in the restaurant unless reservation made. Ample car parking
The Room The Staff The Location of Stumbles
The Wifi being limited connectivity meaning I couldn't get online.
Beds Location Milk in fridge
Shower door didnt close Poor TV Couldnt log on to WiFi Dated decor
WE WERE THERE FOR 3 NIGHTS, THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND WE WERE MADE TO FEEL VERY WELCOME, THE ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE AND VERY CLEAN, NO FAULT THERE.
BEAKFAST ON MONDAY 28TH JULY 2014 SLIPPED WELL BELOW STANDARD AS THE FRIED EGGS WERE CRISPY, THE BACON WAS ALSO OVERDONE, THE SAUSAGE WAS RAW ON ONE SIDE, THE OTHER SIDE WAS OVERCOOKED,THE WOMAN COOK WAS,NT AS FRIENDLY, BIT OF A LET DOWN AS THE OTHER BREAKFASTS ON SUNDAY AND TUESDAY WERE EXCELLENT AND PROPERLY COOKED BY THE MALE COOK WHO WAS A REALLY NICE GUY. THERE IS NO REAL NIGHT LIFE IN THE VILLAGE SO IF YOU LIKE THINGS SLOW THEN THIS IS FOR YOU.
Staff were lovely and food very good? Location and parking excellent
Shower in room 2 could be better
Loved everything, from the very friendly staff, to the clean comfortable room and food to die for! A one price menu of only £20 for a three course meal of locally sourced food that was cooked to perfection and served with a smile and breakfast was just as delicious. Another benefit of this great little find was that although it was situated right in the centre of a quant and busy little town it had plenty of parking facilities available to residents. A great find and we will definitely be visiting again.
the breakfast was excellent. bed was very comfortable
staff seemed very pre-occupied didn't introduce themselves to us which was not very professional. no time to stop and talk to us.
we loved the courtyard, sitting in the sunshine and enjoying a relaxing drink. Bedroom nice and airy, and we liked the fact we had 2 arm chairs in the room. food in the restaurant was great as was breakfast
shower was tricky to manage and could do with a new shower curtain
