Nice pub, handy location for Blenheim Palace. Excellent food in the pub and lovely breakfast. Comfortable bed and clean satisfactory room/bathroom.
Elderly couple staying there who moaned about everything and spoilt the atmosphere.
Everything was fine would revisit
staircase to upper rooms evening meals expensive
We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent food and the service was brilliant.
Excellent food. Very comfortable. Generally quiet even though the main road is not far away. Genuinely nice place all round
Nothing. For those who prefer not to have to walk out to a separate building to eat, this is not for you. Otherwise you will have no probelms.
Despite the fact that we arrived much later than the expected check in time, we were warmly welcomed. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was extremely good. Staff were efficient and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
Outdoor space for kids good.
breakfast staff especially grumpy and having stayed twice now it hasn't improved! Food not great quality. With a few smiles they would do a lot better.
The accommodation was good.
The meal was awful. We had the fish platter which was all batter and overcooked and dry as a bone.
excellent breakfast with cooked to order entrees. waiter friendly and wished us a happy 4th july when were there. staff at bar/desk helpful with recommendations for dining outside sturdy's.kidlington had variety of restaurants close to sturdy's.can't remember name of restaurant on canal with outside/inside dining and good food(boat inn or something like that) which was recommended by staff. convenient to oxford/Blenheim castle.
The £25 each way taxi fare to Oxford city centre, its only a 15 min drive
Excellent welcome from the owner, staff very good polite, friendly. Clean comfortable room, water and toiletries included, good food and service. Location excellent for purpose of visit, Value for money.
Nothing found to dislike.
Choice and fantastic quality of breakfast! Comfortable bed.
Bar and seating area with comfy sofas closing and locking up at 11.00pm-seemed very early.
Friendly and efficient staff, cleanliness, convenience.
Pillows too hard.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast menu was large, varied and cooked to perfection. Our dinner also came up to the high standard we had begun to expect. Would stay again.
The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy. A small fridge would have been a bonus. It was so hot and the windows only opened such a small amount.
Great food/ location/ nice hotel
Bed was hard, thin matress- stiff back in the morning
Some staff were very unwelcoming. We were specifically told 'last orders ' at 10.25 on Friday night- as staying paying guests the place is supposed to stay open as long as you wish. We were told you could have coffee in the bar after dinner - but not a floater coffee as the kitchen was closed at 9.30pm. Did not feel welcome at all. Rooms comfortable , shame about customer service apart from Stacey who was good. Owner/ manager and his father(?) very surly. Won't be going again or recommend.
well appointed room, comfortable bed and great break-fast. staff were also very helpfull
Excellent and professional Customer Service on check in and was shown to my room. Very polite & courteous staff.
Nothing really! Minor gripe was breakfast staffing level. Staff member was very good but he could have done with some help to provide a quicker service to everyone.Other than that, all great!
Staff were friendly & helpful.
There was no one on reception when we arrived or when we left. I had to go searching for someone. There was no bell on the desk to attract anyone's attention.
Very friendly staff and the restaurant was very good.
Noise from upstair (sounds of steps) was slightly big. We drove a hire car, direction by booking.com was not easy to follow. (distance and maps). Hotel agreed with that, too. Hope to improve the website.
Food really good, lovely room Staff a bit stressed but was really busy
Disabled rail at head of bath unnecessary ! Couldn't lay down !
The place is faultless, friendly and clean. The food is first rate for bar meals. The rooms are clean and well furnished. I really can't fault the place and give it my highest recommendation
Service very good, full english breakfast the best in a long time
quite remote, little opportunity to walk out, sat nav / post code don't match c.2 miles wrong
The staff were very friendly and helpful we felt valued
Superb full English breakfast Excellent Real ale at the bar Good parking
Location... Taxis have to come 4 miles, so bill is alway £10 minimum. Reluctant to serve residents after closing time (11pm). Uninspiring rooms.
