The hotel is owned by a very friendly and helpful family. It is an old-style Morecambe hotel and they have preserved the period look and feel, whilst updating the rooms to a more modern standard of comfort. The staff were very helpful with directions and upgrading the booking to a double rather than a twin room. The bed was comfortable, the choice of breakfast was excellent, and the service was great.
Breakfast was delicious. Accomodated very late booking. Friendly staff.
Needs a refurbishment.
Easy to find, within walking distance of town centre. Breakfast was good.
Very old and in need of renovation
No working light in the bathroom!! Bedside lights - neither worked Didn't get a receipt on night I arrived was told I could get it in the morning, however no one around at 7:30 in the morning! Was not worth £65 and there is no way on this earth it was ever worth £99
Tatty Old No wi Fi Paper thin walls
When we departed
Welcome, mould in bathroom walls paperthin, breakfast service awful,
Good friendly staff very clean
Very out dated needs a lick of paint and some new carpets
It was opposite the bay and looked across to the lakes,an ideal place to stop after a long trip up from South Wales,it was in walking distance into the town and parking was easy.
great food exc room with sea view staff cannot fault great little hotel for price
could do with a lick of outside
Value for money. Service. Staff. Accomodation. Location. I would recommend it to anyone.
Staff pleasant. Room clean and tidy. Lovely sea view from room. Good breakfast menu.
Parking at back of hotel not secure. Uneven road could have damaged car. Noise from guest above coming in early hours . But not hotel fault.
Sea front location
Property was very dated, seriously needs some money spending on it. Kettle in my room didn't work and the room of my other party members TV didn't work and there was no kettle. Had to apologise to my party for the poor choice of hotel.
Easy to arrive at from the M-Way. Good adjacent on-road parking. Excellent breakfast. Polite management with well-trained restaurant staff.
Didn't like is too strong a term but the place is a tad run-down and dated but superb value for money as a consequence. OK, it's not in the town centre but that makes parking easier and keeps the price down. Nearest eatery (a Chinese is 10 mins away (that would seem miles if hacking down with rain or if people have disabilities))
Hotel really does need a thourough overall renovation and modernisation
Fair enough it is very dated and could do with a lick of paint and tlc but the staff were very accommodating and friendly the rokm was very clean and the bed very comfortable clean towels and bags of hot water couldn't fault the staff again at breakfast which was also very nice this hotel is not 4/5 star but if your looking for a clean budget hotel then give them a try.
Everythig we experienced was fine
I like this hotel because was quiet and had a friendly atmosphere
Location, no bar even though it was advertised
Clean and pleasant
Very tired decor needed upgraded
ALL OF IT
Staff were pleasant. Rooms were clean.
Rooms very small and dated, but the bathroom was clean. We could hear the conversations word for word of the people next door and above us. The TV didn't work (not an issue for us tho for any length of time). No restaurant available. Breakfast order wasn't right, even though we re-stated the order 3 times. Glad we only stayed 1 night.
Cheerful helpful staff. Clean comfortable bed.
Shabby (threadbare carpet). Scruffy (dated decor, peeling paint). Tiny bedroom. Thin walls (I'm sure I could hear the guests in the next room breathing). Cold water tap was seized solid so shower was too hot.
Staff very friendly excellent breakfast service
Found price of 90 little experience for 1 adult and 2children
Great hotel, no extra charge for the kids including breakfast, a true bargain with a warm home feeling
The kitchen was cluttered and untidy.
Breakfast was very good, enough choice but not over-generous with coffee or toast! The sea view was brilliant
The room was very small and old fashioned, and the avocado bathroom suite was truly hideous!! No free wifi
