Hotel convenient location to friends. We enjoyed the dining room facilities and it's friendly staff. Outlook from dining room superb. We enjoyed the spacious accommodation and the cleanliness of the room. Lighting in bedroom rather poor for reading or sewing. All the staff were very friendly except for the receptionist at the desk on arrival! She didn't smile or welcome us!!

I was impressed by the friendliness of all the hotel staff and the fact that they were genuinely interested in whether everything was right for us all the time and if we needed anything, would sort it out instantly the meals wear good and tasty and good value for money

Friendliness of staff was excellent, all apart from one who had obviously missed the training course. The kettle in our room had a long fixed lead to the plug so that the whole ensemble had to be taken to the bathroom for filling, seems a bit penny-pinching.

Straight forward book in and pleasant and efficient staff. Breakfast excellent, plenty of choice. We only stayed the one nignt and we had eaten out earlier so didn't sample the hotel evening menu. Bed comfy, and a good nights sleep. We used the hotel for a stop over after a visit to Blenhiem Palace. Then next day we visited family in Swindon, so good midway location. Car parking was on a slope but that's a minor neg.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Set in very nice surroundings. Close to the small town of Faringdon - approx. Ten minute walk. Also very close to Didcot, Witney, Abingdon, The Cotswold Wildlife Country Park, etc., The room was a reasonable size and very clean. The bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable. The television was very old with poor quality picture and the remote control needed new batteries.

this was the second time we stayed in sudbury house,on both occasions we had excellent service. the rooms were comfortable and clean the grounds were lovely. the breakfast which was buffet style was excellent, can't wait to go back. there was no bar staff on duty which meant that the receptionist had to serve at the bar which could mean a bit of a wait for drinks if she was busy

The food was lovely, shower powerful. Everything was fine but room needed tlc - damaged fixings on heated towel rail, thin duvet in torn duvet cover - did find the room quite cool. Mini-fridge would be welcome addition. Overall perfectly adequate just could do with a little updating. None of this would prevent me using the hotel again.

Welcoming staff, nice breakfast Squeaky bed with ill fitting sheets. When reported, they appeared genuinely interested, and I had the feeling that it would be rectified. Room slightly tired looking. Great location, would stay again.

It was very expensive, but it was the venue for my niece's wedding, so we stayed there. The standard of the room etc. was good but not outstanding. We did have a pleasant stay however. It was expensive and the quality of the furnishings a little 'tired'.
