very nice place and helpful owners
Very friendly and warm reception on arrival lovely warm and clean rooms and a lovely breakfast
The bed a bit hard
We both loved every single aspect of the b&b, the location was amazing, the room was beautiful and the owner was so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend
Loved everything :)
Arrived to a warm welcome off Linda . stopped in room 5 sea view was out of this world and the room was bright and spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we have every had in a b&b. i would recommend this guest house to anybody
Felt welcome Polite Helpful
The awqaud silent atmosphere whilst eating your breakfast with people you don't know.(background music?) Anything to cut the tension.
Friendly nature and excellent service at breakfast time - highly recommended
Location, friendly, very good cooked breakfast
Only twin room left when we booked. It was very small
Staff, food, location and price
Very minor point that we were woken very early by the road sweeper on a Saturday morning in late September.
Comfortable bed, very clean, and room serviced and cleaned every day. Breakfast was excellent cooked fresh each morning. Staff very helpful and considerate. Lovely view from room on Weymouth Bay. Easy access to trains and buses.
Ensuite bathroom was very small Our room was on the third floor, no lift making it difficult for my husband to negotiate the stairs each time we we came in and out of the Guesthouse. We should have checked this out before we booked. Wewere unable to carry our suitcases up all of the stairs. The staff did help with this.
town clean no fast food outlets everywhere
Town died at 5pm went on 2.30ferry to Guernsey and this was as dead as Weymouth after 5.30
Fabulous hosts who found nothing too much trouble, made to feel very welcome from start to finish. Shall definetly visit them again and will most certainly recommend them to family and friends :)
The only little moan I have was the amount of light that's let in by the roller blind in room 7, there is a street light that shines straight into the room :(( perhaps a blackout blind might be better. But fabulous otherwise:))
It is located right on the sea shore with friendly staff and a great breakfast
It was difficult to find parking and had to park a few blocks away. There is no lift so you will have to negotiate the stairs with your luggage.
The landlady gives all her guests a warm welcome and looks after them during their stay to make them feel at home. You get helpful information on places of interest and events in the area.
The view from our front room and 2 comfortable arm chairs. The friendliness of the owner, and an excellent breakfast.
There is no parking, you can park in streets behind or take pot luck with the traffic warden! It's at the wrong end of town. Our 4 Poster bed was hard and uncomfortable. The lounge area could do with an update.
As it the guest house is in a cul-de-sac there is no traffic noise at night and early in the morning. All you hear from the front rooms is the movement of the sea on the shingle. Very peaceful with level long walks in both directions along the seafront. Weymouth beach is now very clean and the promenade is fresh looking every day. Friendly landlady. I would go again.
No meusli. No choice of juices. Dining room very cramped. For the price I thought there could have been hot chocolate sachets and biscuits in the room as there was in one of the other guest houses in this street. The bath towel was the smallest you can buy. Again, for the price, a luxuriously-sized bath sheet would reflect the price for very little extra outlay. Very expensive for me as a single person as all sea-view rooms are doubles and there was no discount for single occupancy. Not even a small discount for the fact that only one breakfast was needed. No bath available for those with no en-suite. There was a sense of 'seeing how much you could get away with' in the small details.
The location was excellent, just a few minutes stroll along the sea front to the centre of the town. Lovely clean and comfortable room, spacious bathroom which was a bonus! Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The owner was friendly and courteous.
Would prefer a wider time slot for breakfast, having said that, I think if you had any particular requests, the owner would try to accommodate you.
The beach is rightnin front of the b&b, can sleep & wake up to the sound of the waves. 5 min on foot away from the centre of the town so it's quieter as well. Make the most of small space available
Bed was bit hard small bathroom no clean towels
Location, right next to the sea was lovely!
Maybe breakfast at the weekend could be served over a longer period of time?
very close to all amenities in Weymouth.
Parking could be a bit difficult during the day.
Linda was a very warm welcoming host we had room 3 four poster bed beautiful sea view woke up with the sound of the sea the breakfast was outstanding the guesthouse was spotless Linda could not do enough for us we will be back soon Lorraine and martin
We felt not welcome from the minute we Got there as we had a two year old with us although I had stated this and didn't need any thing extra for her the land lady said she didn't know I found her very rude and every time we spoke she made us feel uncomfortable and appeared to not want to talk. On our last morning my son even offered to pay for some where else for breakfast so we could just leave but I would not out of principle I'm sorry we felt like this but how it was
The view from our room was breathtaking. I loved the full English breakfast and the staff were friendly.
Well not everyone was friendly the gentleman who greeted us when we booked in. I felt him to be a little cold - he did not help (mum and 7year old) to carry our bags up the stairs. Well not before my daughter hinted that her suitcase was heavy going up the stairs. Also I did not get an email confirming our reservation - I had to telephone a week after booking to get confirmation.
the quiet position of Sunbay guesthouse right next to the beach and the view of the sea from our bay window Lynda's friendly helpfulness
minor niggle: ensuite toilet with shower is very cramped
Right opposite beach good views from 4 poster bedroom
Parking was a problem, if you could get a space after 6 pm you were ok untill 10 am on one side of the road and 11 am on the other side. But if there was no space the free parking could be up to about half a mile away
