On the seafront, overlooking Bournemouth Bay, this modern and uniquely styled hotel features a 1930s Art Deco style, a seasonal outdoor heated pool, a day spa, and a lido deck.
Score from 1095 reviews Very good
At the seafront, overlooking Bournemouth Bay, The Cliffeside Bournemouth has an outdoor pool. With a superb clifftop location, it is just a short walk from the center of town and beaches.
Score from 503 reviews Good
Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It features 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.
Score from 2072 reviews Good
In a quiet part of East Cliff, this clean, friendly hotel is just a short walk from Bournemouth's beaches and town center. It has spacious rooms, a restaurant, a vibrant bar and free parking.
Score from 1462 reviews Very good
The location was great
The room was rather small and cramped, it was also tired and decoration/furniture seemed old . There was a lack of car parking in the grounds resulting in us having to pay to park some distance away on the cliff top.
We liked the food and location and a comfortable room with a great view.
Poor parking, no control, scalding uncontrollable shower, dirty hot water from the bath tap. Poor outer building maintenance, missing slates. Mouldy window frames.
friendly and helpful staff. great location and view. good breakfast.
mould in bedroom. no shower pressure. very expensive beer very dated decor
The location was right on the sea front and was excellent.
The hotel was generally dated, especially the pool area and the room was very small and not the most comfortable! It was fine for a cheap couple of days away. Probably wouldn't have dinner in the restaurant again though!
The bed was very comfortable, swimming pool was nice.
we were made to feel welcome by ALL the staff The pool was lovely and warm although dated and could have done with a revamp it was clean and we used it a lot during our stay The location was excellent although qw didn't get a sea view from our room .the breakfast was buffet style well stocked and fresh nicely cooked food
The mattress had seen better days but I have stayed in worse The wifi was only really available in the lounge The decor and furniture was a little dated
No second key available for the room
The hotel comes with free parking although limited, we were lucky to get a space. The swimming pool is a nice addition although, changing facilities and saunas is poor. The hotel staff were all pleasant throughout our stay.
Our bed was very uncomfortable and could feel the wire springs. The children's beds were better.
bar staff incompetent
- Free WiFi - Friendly staff - Swimming pool - 5-10 mins walk to town
- Poor quality bed - Room was located under stairs, so we heard people using it contantly (noise) - Bathroom was dirty... Shower in the Bathroom was constantly dripping and the bathroom was just "grubby".
The water in bathroom was the problem.
We loved the swimming pool and the lounge bar in the evening. My daughter age 5 found other children to play with and the hotel was relaxed and friendly, the food at the bar and the restaurant was lovely, all you can eat breakfast with a really good choice of food. Our room was big, the bed was a bit hard but it was still comfy and we slept well. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and it was peaceful at night and easy to sleep. We will definitely come back :)
Our bed was a bit hard for me but I slept fine.
The staff was very helpful and friendly but the rest wasn't that good ...
The facilities were 'primitive' to say the least; It was clean but the bed-sheets were bought 20 years ago; ok location but not very good value for money. I could have got a much more modern and better located Premier Inn for less. Is great to have free wifi but what's the point if the phone connection is poor for every network.
I stayed with a friend as a girls weekend away. Got more than I expected for the price. We had a stunning room with a stunning view. Everyone was incredibly friendly and breakfast was delicious.
Nice and warm staff friendly
Swimming pool not in very good repair vary loud coach partys enterments room taken over by coach parties lack of seating. breakfast hit or miss with what was on offer.

The best thing was a sea view balcony. The pool was good, but crying for an update, or at least proper cleaning.
The room was awfull, dated dirty small and dark. The bathroom full of all sorts of hair, don't want to write how the rubber bath mat looked like. And it was almost impossible to take a shower as the water pressure was so low, Im not even talking about hair washing.Room very cold we could feel the wind over the old windows. Had to ask for two more blankets, which was disgusting to touch as they were hairy and looked dirty. It looked like linen was clean but there was blond hairs in the bed, and we are both dark haired. Really disappointed with this hotel, it needs a big renovation, to change everything from top to bottom. Would not recommend and would never come back. Not worth for what we paid.
Access to pool
We were given a room on the ground floor, with the room right next to a main lift, meaning we could always hear people right outside our room. There was also music going on at night, that was very loud, we had to leave the hotel at half eleven at night as unable to sleep. Terrible bathroom, awful bed, supposed to be double (just two very old single beds pushed together), mattress completely collapsed in the middle. Pool and 'spa' very run down. (Room 27)
All the staff were very happy and helpful.
Liked the veiw
The easy access to beach and town; all in walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful ,particularly the staff in catering and dining area. The food was well cooked but with little choice. Housekeeping excellent.
The hotel was slightly rundown ,and the lounge area was dark and uninspiring. For a superior room, the bathroom was small and the shower produced just a trickle of water. However the water was always hot.
friendly very helpfull nice food
entertainment on the saturday night and i had to pay for coffee with my evening meal
Stayed in the William Penthouse Suite . The room was large and bathroom huge . Views from private balcony are breath taking !!
Friendly staff . Lovely swimming pool . Beautiful dinner .
Cold changing rooms for swimming
It is close to the beach
The room was cold and in spite of our repeated requests the promised heater was not brought to our room. The sauna could not be heated up properly either.
