Suncliff Hotel    

Room was small, but very comfortable, and clean. Decorated to a high degree. Breakfast is a eat as much as you like/ buffet style . With so many choices, there's something for everyone. Would recommend this hotel to everyone

To get the whole experience, must enjoy walking

The staff were all amazing very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We came for my sisters wedding, the staff really made it for us they were just brilliant, cant do enough, it didnt matter that our room was abit basic because the staff made up for that. Thank you all

Didn't like the hotel rooms the floors were very noisy couldn't get any sleep the food was bad the staff were rude they didn't help

The breakfast was excellent The staff were very helpful

The shower in my room was old and didn't work properly, full of limescale I did mention this at the reception.

Friendly staff

Hotel requires a lot of maintenance indoor pol and changing run down. Some bedrooms need attention bu rekept clean

I liked the people as they were nice and friendly .. I enjoyed the view jus after I moved out if my hotel..

I didnt like the rooms they wer not that comfortable. .

The quality of food,very polite staff could not do enough for you and rooms were spotless and the room maid on the 4th floor was lovely and always asked if everything was ok.

The matress in our penthouse room Eugene was very hard and compressed well past its best,could do with a replacement apart from that everything was wonderfull and 1 st class

I like the location was so close to the beach, the staff was very friendly. So cool swimming pool

The price if it was little cheaper it will be perfect to stay more than 4 day

I enjoyed the stay it was so good to stay there. Much affordable and I liked the room looking over the sea . Next time I will book the Catherine ,William and Harry room and have the royal feel. I loved it . I will be Back!!! Watch the Space!!!!

I like where the hotel is located

The room where I stayed was near the elevator and was much noise. I had no place to park the car. In bathroom in roof living the birds and in morning make much noise.

We were upgraded to one of the best rooms in the hotel and had wonderful views of the bay. Facilities were brilliant.

The hotel was very clean and smart. The food was really good. Staff were very attentative and polite. Good value for money

The advert said ample parking. When we arrived we couldn't get in and had to park in the main road away from the hotel. Although the parking fees are not expensive and free from 5pm until 9am, we still had to pay for three days as each day we couldn't get in the hotel car park. As pensioners we have to budget for our breaks away and didn't expect to have to pay for parking.

Excellent friendly staff always helpful. Location was good. Room generally clean just bathroom a little run down.

Uncomfortable mattress - staff changed our mattresses the same day we complained which was good although mattress replacement not great! Pool changing rooms were awful - run down and unclean - discoloured and hair on the floor. Discolouration and cracked tiled in the bathroom. Noisy water pipes over night in the toilet - noticeable at night due to the quiet.

Position - superb view/location Staff - friendly and keen to please. Didn't experience the food - because we ate (on the first night) in the Ventana (Cumberland) and found it superb - so we ate THERE for the remainder of our break. A wonderful restaurant with a great chef and a fabulous menu.

Problem! Started before we arrived when our credit card was charged double. (At odds with your own assertion that cards are not charged in advance.) However, the efficient staff at the Suncliff resolved the problem quickly and efficiently. The decor is a little dated, but, if the Suncliff is in line for decor like the Cumberland, then Oceana will have three super hotels in the complex. Oh, yes - the lift (Suncliff) COULD be faster BUT we were on holiday so, what the heck! We WILL be back and will look for your 'special' deals.

The staff where very friendly,and the room was clean. The buffet breakfast was really good.And the sea front location was spectacular.

Our room on the ground floor was at the back of the hotel and the road was extreemly noisy.my mattress was very uncomfortable as I could feel the springs.The beautiful glass conservatory on the front of the hotel,was furnished like a cafe/canteen,Come on Suncliff make this room into a beautiful lounge with a good carpet , sofas and coffee tables this could be such a great feature of the hotel,I dont think I saw anyone in there its so depressing.

All food was very good. The swimming pool was nice. Staff were friendly and bedrooms kept tidy and clean every day by the domestic staff. Lovely see view.

Out of all the rooms that my family stayed in the family room felt smaller and slightly run down, with the shower dripping and bath suite not up to scratch. The hotel in general needs updating. Disappointing that the jacuzzi was advertised when there was not one there anymore.

Paid for 2 standard double ocean view rooms, both were shabby, bathrooms had mouldy grout and cracked tiles and the tap fell off in my hand.Furniture and decor very dated and looked like from a second hand shop. Could not get a hot drink from the bar in the evening. Could not access part of the hotel due to a wake one day and a wedding the next which we were not informed about when we booked. This was booked as a joint birthday treat for my husband and brother and we were all so dissapointed we paid extra to move to the Cumberland Hotel next door!
