This was my third stay at Connaught Lodge. All the staff were extremely helpful, polite and efficient. The breakfast choice was superb and the standard was consistent. The hotel offers excellent value for money. I would certainly go back there.

The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. The leisure facilities in the main hotel are excellent. The breakfast was very good and the waiters and waitresses were very helpful and cheerful. Ample car parking spaces. Very good value for money! The bathroom was a little small but considering the room rate the accomodation was as I expected.

The restaurant was nice and the staffing here in particular was excellent. Same for breakfast. When booking this hotel the images that appears for the hotel look very nice indeed. It wasn't until I arrived that I found out that I wasn't staying in the hotel itself, but a separate building - The Lodge. This building was really of student/back-packers standard. The furniture was scruffy, the wardrobe doors didn't open and worst of all the walls were paper thin. Meaning I was kept up all night by other noisy visitors. As I was on a business trip and had to present a lecture at a conference the next day, this was really not good. I'm sure the main hotel was very nice, but I do think that they need to make it clearer when booking what the Lodge is and who it is aimed at. I was booked in for two nights but couldn't face the second so wrote off the money, checked out early and went elsewhere.

I was there on business but with some free time to relax. The room was of good standard in comfort and cleanliness and met my needs. The added bonus of a swimming pool and spa on site was a bonus for relaxing at the end of the day. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was close to all ameneties, so, on the whole a very pleasing stay in a good location. The restaurant served excellent food too!

The hotel staff were excellent, rooms were very clean, tea making facilities available. Nothing to dislike about the hotel. There were problems with breakfast - 8 -10am on sat and sun. It seemed that everyone had the same idea to go down at 9am. The hotel was fully booked and this caused the problem. We were asked to take a seat and wait until called (which is not a problem). but we waited and waited and then noticed that people who had come after us were being called in. When I spoke to the Restaurant manager he said he had a system (which obviously wasn't working) and to have another seat and still more people were going before us!!! After speaking to a difference member of staff, we were soon shown to a table. The breakfast was the most superior breakfast I have ever seen served. Everything was top quality and this made up for the 'system' that went wrong. However we never had an apology from the Restaurant Manager which I felt we should have had, however we had an apology from a member of staff.

Although our room in the annexe was very small, and possibly old-fashioned, it was very clean, and the bed comfortable. We appreciated very much being able to use the facilities of the main hotel. The swimming pool was wonderful, and the breakfast in the diningroom extremely good. The staff in the dining room were very good.We would certainly use the hotel again. \it is very close to the sea front, whch was great. The annexe was glld value for money - so although not was luxurious as we might like, it was what we paid for, and therefore good.

As an annex to the main hotel I was surprised by the cleanliness of the room and bathroom facilities.(it is the first time we have slept in an 8 foot bed. Recommend it to everyone!!) The main hotel had a very nice lounge/bar and if it had been spring the patio and garden area were very enticing. Breakfast was excellent and the service of a very high quality. (I dont think my coffee cup was ever empty) Car parking was very good and the hotel was only a short walk from the seafront and cliffs, also all the towns further attractions were within walking distance. We will be booking again!!!!!!

We really were surprised how good this lodge was. We were expecting it to be sub standard but it was excellent value. All staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was excellent and the quality of ingredients were the best not like many hotels who dish out low standard cheap sausages and cheap yoghurt etc..... I will recommend it to all my friends and I am very raely impressed but with this hotel I was very impressed. Gordon (oxfordshire)

This lodge to the main Connaught Hotel provided just what we wanted - a centrally placed hotel in Bournemouth, so that we could attend a Saturday evening concert being given by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra - it did the job efficently, and with good value. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff could not have been more helpful.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The spa facilities were very good for the size and price of the accomodation. We stayed in the lodge - the exterior is a bit jaded and could do with a lick of paint

Restuarant in the hotel was good as was the spa. Good service at meal times Glazed extension to the room made it extremely noisy when it rained disturbing our sleep. In the information pack it advertised the restaurant as being called the Cameo Resaurant and two courses at dinner were £14.99 and 3 courses were £18.99. The restaurant has been renamed and the prices were incorrect and a lot more expensive.
