We had had a very pleasant stay, the bed was comfortable & the breakfasts were excellent. Unfortunately the bathroom was not as nice as we would have liked. The bath was a bit old & looked grimy even though it was obviously clean. |

Location is great. Family room with extra room for the kids idem. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was almost over-serviced.... Room 203 of the Lodge is above the main door that bangs so hard kids easily wake up in the middle of the night. If I were them I would have changed the door-suspender immediately. |

The leisure facilities, particularly the swimming pool and steam room were good having been recently refurbished but this was overshadowed by the fact that we had to walk (in the rain!) outside the Lodge to the main hotel. Admittedly it was only a short walk, but a covered walkway would have helped? We stayed in the Lodge, not the main hotel. The main bedroom was adequate but the bathroom was in need of refurbishment, the seals around the bath looked grubby and old and the bath had seen better days. Noise outside from about 11pm until 4am was excessive and kept us awake (Possibly student accommodation opposite?) Walls in the rooms appear to be very thin? we could actually hear people on the loo in the next room! To be fair, staff did offer us another room in the lodge but its bathroom was worse, with a large green stain on the bath. We definitely wouldn't stay in the lodge again but can't really comment about the main hotel. I think the Connaught needs to spend some money on the Lodge urgently |

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, we had a couple of points with our room, they were fixed within the hour, the buffet breakfast was excellent, even catering for vegetarians. On asking at reception we were told our children ages 12 & 10 could use all the leisure facilties where in fact they were only allowed to use the pool under supervision. |

Friendly & helpful staff, comfortable room, pleasant surroundings, easy to find, good sports facilities, close to the beach and town. although the breakfast menu was fine there was not a wide selection available to dairy free and gluten free diets, although I appreciate this is difficult anyway. |

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The Breakfast Room was lovely (decor and clean) Breakfast Food was delicious and excellent value for money. Car Park was adequate - quite busy at times. The decor in the bedroom was rather out-dated and the water stain in the enamel bath made it look dirty when it wasn't. |

Pleasant and helpful staff. Good size room. Excellent choice at breakfast. Comfortable bar. Reasonable location. Foam pillows! Although they were a bit softer than some we've had. You've spent a lot updating the rooms, why not add quality pillows? (And decent toilet paper) Parking is a bit hit & miss. |

Staff excellent, room comfortable, bar menu good, breakfast perfect, ideally situated for beach, shops and entertainment if you don't mind a little uphill walk back. Plenty of car park spaces. Just far enough from centre to be peaceful. Not really a complaint, but bath needed replacing in our room. Water stained. |

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful - booked us a nearby restaurant when the hotel restaurant was full. Breakfast was very good - great choice, the dining room staff were friendly and helpful and it all felt very well-run. Pool a real plus! Much bigger than we expected. Five minutes walk from stunning beach. On first arrival the main hotel car park was cramped and awkward to access; the (family) room was a little basic - bathroom slightly tired-looking. But it was all we needed. And the helpful staff attitude more than made up for what was a gloomy first impression on a cold, wet, dark Friday night. Bar prices on the high side. |

The staff were very welcoming and courteous. The room was comfortable and clean. Dinner in the restaurant was a pleasant surprise; offering freshly cooked, good value menu. There was a good variety of food on offer at breakfast and the hot english breakfast was very appetising. The bathroom would benefit from refurbishment. I stayed in the annexe and would have preferred a room in the main hotel building which would have provided improved access to hotel facilities including swimming pool. |

Facilities of the pool and lounge. It was very relaxing At breakfast the milk was off, I reported this and it was changed immediately. The cooked breakfast was over cooked except for the sausages which were undercooked. More care needs to be taken care of with regards to food. |

The breakfasts were excellent as was the service in the Restaurant. My parents were in Room 235 and the 'bathroom' is just not acceptable. Even if it is the last room available, guests should be made aware that it is basically a converted wardrobe. |
