Staff were very friendly and professional, the room was lovely. We had dinner in the bar and the food was great. The location is great being almost on the seafront. All together a perfect stay.
We didn't have any negatives
Staff, comfort, location to the beach, leisure SPA facilities.
It could have more options for breakfast It could have an internal passage between the two buildings especially during winter.
Everything wished we could have spent longer there.
Nothing apart from carpark could have been bigger
Friendly staff and very helpful and polite at all times Cleanliness and prompt room cleaning Excellent breakfast Hot water at all times and spotless bathroom
Very small lift in Connaught Lodge Car Park small in the Lodge but more parking spaces at the Hotel
Staff very helpful, smart and courteous. The Spa was lovely and the breakfast very good value.
The pillows were a bit soft, it was not clear which pillows were which.
All in all it was a lovely place,we enjoyed our stay
The only downside was the room could not be accessed from the reception. You had to walk out side through the car park. I think a covered link would make this more desirable.
Very friendly staff clean rooms
Nothing to complain about thanks
Bistro, bar, breakfast and food/catering staff were very good. Reception staff were good. Car parking.
The bed was far too soft and one side of the mattress was clearly over-used with broken supports inside. The window did not close fully. The top hinges were broken. It was a very windy night and the wind howled through the gap. There was no milk provided in the room.
I felt very comfortable as a single traveller. The Brasserie was nice and the staff were all very friendly. The pool and sauna were lovely and breakfast was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a good supply of coffee in the room with enough milk for more than 1 milk
I stayed there because my husband was having a boys party at my house and I had to work the next day so needed to get some sleep. The night I stayed there was a xmas party downstairs which was all I could hear and the rooms are so close together and not soundproofed. I managed to get to sleep about 1am and the people in the room next door woke up and started plugging things in to the wall and chatting at 6am so I had 5 hours sleep. The menu at the brasserie was quite limited and not very exciting. the food was nice but quite dull.
the Spa, sauna and pool. the Breakfast
there is not a lot to dislike at the Connaught
The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Location is central so no need to drive for access to town/seafront. Furnishings are tasteful and breakfast plentiful, varied and tasty.
The mattress was too soft for my taste.
Warm friendly staff, great leisure facilities, clean comfortable bed and room.
Happy and friendly staff who were attentive to needs. Pleasant and warm but spacious rooms. Everything clean and tidy. Great food in restaurant. Excellent value for money
All the staff were very professional. Excellent breakfast and decor. Freeview TV stations all available.
Lift did not stop on a level floor. Room still awaiting the arrival of replacement new furniture.
Friendly staff Comfortable rooms Excellent buffet breakfast Close location to Bournemouth centre Good value for money
- Parking is limited and very tight.
Close to BIC. Good leisure suite.
Room like an oven, difficult to sleep. Food
The hotel was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The spa was great. Would go back again
The bed was to soft. Not very good if you have a bad back. If felt like you were sinking in it
Good location. Excellent Restaurant and Staff.
The Lodge entrance and stairway needed redecorating to be of the same standard as the bedroom which was very good.
We didntvknow untill arrival we were not staying in main hotel- -and was very disappointed! But the lodge was very nice- just a shamevwe had to walk outside in rain to go to spa and breakfast. As we didnt know this. But overall it was very nice
Goin outside to eat and drink to main hotel.
Majority of staff were very friendly.
A member of staff in breakfast room looked down his nose at us & made us feel very unwelcome, which was a shame as rest of staff were very friendly & polite
Staff were all efficient and friendly. Room was lovely and clean also very comfortable. Breakfast was probably one of the tastiest we've ever had. Good gym tidy sauna steam and hot tub with pool. Restaurant was a bit pricey although the food was very good. Definitely want to try and visit again.
Nothing to dislike whatsoever.
I have stayed always in the hotel but could not get in so booked the lodge. Staff fantastic and moved me to another room as the bed in 235 needed a new mattress and was so uncomfortable in the first night. I was given much bigger room, which had been recent refurbished. Blakes restaurant was outstanding as normal.
The bed in 235, it had no support and springs could be felt. Bathroom was very small in this room too.
Leaving Bournemouth the next morning - have never understood the attraction of a resort with zero good restaurants and pubs...
Having to prepay my room on check in - why? The towel's were left on the bed because there - literally - was no room for them in the joke that they called a bathroom.
Location, staff, facilities, comfort and breakfast, all first class. Stayed here several times, would definitely recommend. Can't wait for next visit :-)
Having to leave :-(
Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed using the swimming pool and facilities, changing rooms very clean.
