it was clean, quiet, and nice surroundings outside

told no cot so we had to bring our own. room very small for 2 adults plus 5 month baby. toilet door didnt close! bed up against wall so had to climb over person to get in. long walk to room with baby and cot etc no help offered. very dark and gloomy no atmosphere

Location-view from room amazing, looking over golf course. Quirky room-not really a single- double bed but against wall. Free wifi. Lovely bar area to chill.

Menu bit limited but food lovely. Limited channels on tv.

The building itself is fabulous, and the staff are very helpful, especially the 'breakfast' lady and the chef makes a mean poached egg!

I found it extremely difficult to get any reception on my mobile phone.

The style of the old house and the gardens. No road noise apart from cars travelling over the gravelled drive.

The fact that the kettle had a faulty lead and the lights over the bedhead didn't work. The thumb turn lock on the inside of the door was hard to operate. Creeky floorboards.

Dreadfull pillows and mattrass. Hot water took ages (5 minutes) to arrive at bath faucet. The facility overall is a 5 star building with a 1 star comfort rating.

I enjoyed staying in such a magnificent, historic building. My room was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

I had very bad network reception on my phone, which may have been partly due to my provider.

The gardens and surroundings were spectacular.

This is more of a conference centre than a hotel with no proper reception or facilities. The whole place is run down, tired, and lacks any sort of personality or warmth. While the views from the front of the hotel are amazing, we were put in a pokey back room overlooking a conglomeration of roofs! The room was dirty and run down - dust everywhere especially behind the bed, the bedside lamps didn't work, the sockets were coming away from the walls, we had to squash past a chair to get in the bathroom, and the decoration was worn and utilitarian to say the least. Breakfast was a bit of shambles with only one waiter on duty - but bless him he tried! A real disappointment and wouldn't stay there again.

I would have loved to stay on but no good things last forever.

my double room had to be the smallest room ive ever stayed in the breakfast is dry and poor and when we arrived i asked if i could order 2 coffees after driving for 5 hours just to be told if i wanted a coffee i had to make it in my room ! i was attending a funeral with my sister and her son who also had a double room of which was poor i was in room 23 the bed just fit in the room i'm visiting grove park the end of april although i play golf i wont be staying their

Magnificent building

Furnishings etc a bit tired - the place needs some investment. Feels a bit like a boarding house inside a stately home

Very small room

The staff were really welcoming and friendly, especially Paul. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and shall be back. The room was smal but did us well. We shall look at booking one of the newly refurbished ones next time.

Could be a really nice place the staff is trying but....

Looks like this place is about to close down. The facilities are very worn and badly maintained. Hardly any staff and had to ask for items for the breakfast buffet well after opening time. Seems the place is lacking management

Quiet rural-like location, yet near to Bromley centre.

Would have liked a choice for breakfast rather than a set meal

The building and grounds were lovely, very quiet. The breakfast was lovely.

The WiFi didn't work, the double bed was the smallest ever and there was no heating. The DVD player in the TV was broken.

Having arrived in a snowstorm they made me feel welcome safe and warm.Nothing was too much trouble for Paul the bar manager. I would highly recommend a visit.
