Nestled within its own grounds on the banks of the River Lossie, The Mansion House is a peaceful getaway just a few minutes’ walk from the historical centre of Elgin.

I arrived at midnight after delays due to Scotrail and was given a very friendly reception. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast next morning was very good.
Only thing wrong was both bedside light bulbs failed - not really a big deal!
Nice rooms, very comfortable. Excellent menu in the restaurant, and the food I ordered was fine. I would go back happily, would recommend as 4 out of 5.
Wifi was poor, I was trying to upload and download documents which took forever.
New refurbished room very comfortable, however bathroom very small, comfy bed, lovely dinner in chilled surroundings, staff very polite, large tv in room, excellent breakfast.
Prompt action by the staff and very helpful in all respects
Great range of Whisky
Good food & friendly and helpful staff
I picked this hotel based on other traveller's reviews and was not disappointed. The room was large, as was the bath, and the bed comfortable (my room was on the carpark side, close to the front of the hotel). The window opened - a big plus for me. While the hotel is on the main road, even with the window opened, it was quiet at night. Breakfast: there was a typical selection of hot and cold - hot breakfast is cooked to order...nothing fancy, but more than adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. I ate at the in-house restaurant for dinner and the food was very good. The location is on the edge of the town, but it was an easy walk to the high street and to the ruins of Elgin cathedral. While it seems that this is a choice for traveling business men, I would recommend this small hotel for leisure travelers.
Stayed here on numerous occasions and would highly reccomend! Lovely bed with memory foam mattress, nice quite location within easy walking distance to the town centre. Very friendly staff and superb breakfast.
A traditional house hotel with an independent feel. Good food for evening meal and breakfast. Nice and clean but fairly basic rooms. Not bad location, 10 min walk to town.Close to the station.Glen Moray distillery is a good visit.
Was really quite pricey considering the facilities and location. There isn't a lot going on in Elgin despite it's place in Scottish history. We needed to be close to the station and we picked it so we could get to Cardhu distillery but Glen Moray is a much better visit and closer.
cleanliness, breakfast, friendly staff, and nice room
Although in the city centre this hotel was really peaceful and relaxing, had an excellent night's sleep. Staff offered to help with bags on every occasion. Dinner was nice and hotel was very comfortable in all parts.
Staff were very nice and polite
good location clean & tidy Very friendly staff and approachable.
Breakfast was not that great. Mouldy bread and it was very greasy. Slow service at times, when busy
Cold shower, porridge, traffic noise
The surroundings was relaxed and comfortable, the food was good. The staff were very polite and friendly nothing was a problem.
Staff were very friendly. The rooms and hotel was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
the Sunninghill was a super hotel very clean, staff were friendly and helpful, location was excellent, would loved to have stayed longer, hope to return soon.
Staff friendly, nice fresh room.
Recently renovated room 9, great breakfast and dinner! But"..........
Very disappointed with dinner, gave order, waited 25 mins which is fine but instead of Salmon we got chicken! Meal was taken back and sat another 20 mins! It would have been nice to be offered bread while waiting!
Room very comfortable, good Wi-Fi signal, very close to Elgin Centre. Didn't eat in evening at hotel but food must be good as the restaurant was very busy. Breakfast was fabulous!
My room (3) must have been above kitchen as I could smell food being cooked etc. lot of noise from what may have ventilation system but as soon as kitchen closed the smell and noise had gone. Wouldn't put me off staying again though!
A young bartender, sorry I can't remember his name, is very knowledgeable about whisky. Breakfast was excellent. All of the staff are very polite and helpful.
friendly, helpful staff large, clean and bright rooms very good breakfast
