We were welcomed with warmth & friendliness, the lift to wedding reception was most welcome and the number for a taxi for our return to the B&B a lovely touch. The facilities within our rooms was excellent and breakfast was fresh plentiful and tasty.
We stayed at the Sunnyside to attend a wedding at the Brig o Doon Hotel. Helen was wonderful and very welcoming. She even drove us down to the venue. She also provided lots of helpful information on the area the next day. The room was large and comfortable and breakfast was superb! (Especially the smoked salmon and eggs!) We would definitely recommend the Sunnyside to anyone!
There wasn't anything to dislike really.
If anything I didn't particularly like the communal table at breakfast.
John ran us to our wedding reception nice gesture
This was the best BandB that we stayed in while traveling in Scotland. Wonderful facility, helpful and delightful owner, and a great location. I don't know how we could have enjoyed the experience more. Thanks for the great memories!
Outstanding hospitality. Great facilities. And wonderful food. Everything you would want at a B&B.
This is a lovely house and is very nicely decorated. The location is great being near the Robbie Burns Museum and walking distance to the ocean. The room was very spacious and was excellent in every way. The bathroom was nice and bright. We found it very quiet even though it is on a main thoroughfare. There are good restaurants within a few blocks. The breakfast served was great and we were particularly pleased with the special pancake option including real maple syrup. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Overall a top notch place to stay.
Perfect location for everything we had to do that weekend. Owners and worker all very friendly. Rooms comfortable and light. Plenty of space in the rooms. Breakfast was a delight and tupperware boxes would be highly recommended for the delicious extras that you can't finish at the table.
A wee bit over zealous with cleanliness. Hoovering the empty space next to me at the breakfast table while we were still eating. Got the feeling that they are dog suffering rather than dog friendly.
The friendly and helpful service.
Nothing all great!
The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very good and could be booked in advance with indication of time required. There was plenty of choice and cooked breakfast was made to order.
Sunny side is a homely, friendly Bed & Breakfast with fantastic hosts, my first choice for accommodation in Ayr. I nearly forgot the breakfast, the best breakfast that I have had in Scotland.
Owners Helen & John friendly & helpful. Delightful breakfast, lovely room & ensuite, beautifully presented property.
Disappointed with Helen's attitude to booking agency commission. She charges more than the price displayed at the B & B to cover the commission.
Bath had no overhead shower.
Very easy to work with! Sent a personal email to confirm our stay/details. Even offered us a ride to the Brig O'Doon where we were attending a wedding!
The room was spacious, plenty of room for our dog. The friendly welcome and cuppa. The food was delicious, excellently cooked and of a very high quality
Absolutely nothing to dislike about Sunnyside, Helen will make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble
The variety for breakfast was great and I was attending a wedding and was given a lift to the wedding the service was excellent and would recommend to anyone
Warm welcome even for our two large dogs. Comfortable, clean acommodation in a lovely big room. Breakfast was superb! Places for a good evening meal were nearby.
Nothing, would stay there again if I needed to visit Ayr
We spent two nights at Sunnyside and were really impressed. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great and the House immaculate. Would definitely highly recommend.
Mrs Malcolm, the hostess, made us feel welcome. She made us tea with homemade shortbread on arrival and offered to drive us to an evening function in a local hotel. Great porridge!
Ambience and its proximity to Robert Burns precinct. Also set in a beautiful part of town with great eateries very close
breakfast was excellent with lots of extras included owner was very friendly and helpful
