The hotel was very cenral for Newcastle and Gateshead, within walking distance of all the sights and attractions of the city and the hotel itself was very clean, nice rooms and helpful staff Unfortunately the hotel has two lap dancing clubs next door to it, the noise and inappropriate language coming from these clubs meant that I couldn't actually get to sleep until 4.45am in the morning as the clubs didn't close until 4am. I certainly wouldn't want to take my family to this hotel and wouldn't recomment it to others given this unfortunate location.

Absolutely nothing, stained sheets, lift not working, looking out into carpark, it was a youth hostel How long have you got. Extremely rude and unprofessional staff, don't expect your deposit back if you pay for one. We were warned as we walked into the hotel, this hotel is renowned for charging a deposit and making up excuses for keeping it. Dirty rooms, broken lift, toilets, beds, stained sheets, noisy floors and doors, windows that don't stay open properly. Old run down horrible hotel, seriously do not stay here so many better places near by

Convenience Facilities were poor - no iron or hairdryer in the room Room was cold - heaters were available in reception Windows were cracked and there was no double glazing which meant incessant noise throughout the night from the railway track overhead Lobby and corridors to bedroom were poorly decorated so first impressions weren't great Lift was out of order which meant myself and my daughter carrying a 20kg suitcase up 2 flights of stairs - glad we weren't situated on a higher floor!!

It was a budget hotel, everything was acceptable and the room was nice. It has a car park right next to it which is free from 5pm-7am daily parking isnt too expensive. A short walk to the metro radio arena and into the main town. It is what it is, a canny no frills place to stay.

The room was gorgeous, very spacious and incredibly comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and it was perfect for what we were looking for. Breakfast, the menu said Hash Browns however I only got one which considering the price of the breakfast was not great. The fruit did not look particularly fresh and so I didn't have any. For the price of the room and considering the lift was out of action and we saw very few staff, with no phone to contact reception and internet advertised yet nothing to tell you how to access it I feel that breakfast should have been included rather than an extra fee as otherwise it was hard to see what merited such a high price.

great location for waterfront, Sage and city centre. Very convenient parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast in light and airy room, not crowded. Minor things - no pegs in bathroom to hang towels.

The most comfortable bed great matress and pillows lovely soft towels. Close proximity to city centre all within walking distance to great shops, and yet the area is quite at night considering how lively newcastle is at weekends,i am a light sleeper so ear plugs were used but I was surprised how quiet Deans road was... Would recommend this area. Very clean and comfortable rooms, amazing comfortable beds...staff very friendly and helpful in all aspects.

The location and staff were excellent. The breakfast was ok too. Overall an enjoyable stay and the brilliant location made it handy for all things central. The room was fine but getting to it was along a maze of corridors and up and down small flights of stairs. Not recommended for wheelchair access. Lift was small but we travelled light so not an issue.

It seemed strange that the hotel bar was cash-only at weekends even though a pre-authorisation of my credit card was taken at check-in. An indication of the clientele expected at the weekends? Also given the hotel's position near a car park, railway line, and somewhat boisterous part of Newcastle, it might have benefited from double glazing.

The staff were extremely friendly and easily approachable. The rooms were modern and clean. The hotel was in a location which was perfect for the type of visit we had made (night out). Would be perfect for groups of friends, business meetings or romantic breaks. The noise generated from the car park but wasn't a major issue.

Location was excellent for the city centre and the staff were very helpful. The car parking facility was not ideal ,it cost a fortune to park and I had to get up at 8pm to put another parking ticket on the car.

I did run into some issues initially but the staff was quick to resolve them. My only complaint is the size of the rooms however this seems to be common across the UK. Being from the US we seem to expect rooms to be as they are here and it's a bit of a shock when we first experience the difference.
