Location was ok
Staff were unprofessional. Really badly run hotel.
Arrived after 6, so parking right outside hotel on main road free
The elevator is very very old , My room was No. 110 its a maze to reach it .
Location under the famous Bridge - could not have been better to experience the real "away pet geordieness" - you won't get that in the Hilton!
The flippin step in reception which I fell over twice and twisted my ankle - it needs to be hightlighted in yellow and black zig zag tape as it is definitely a health and safety hazard - really upsetting when I was so tired and emotional anyway going on a trip down memory lane - it literally really tripped me over the edge and started me of sobbing on my first visit back for 36 years. small pokey room but only in it for a few hours
The size of the room though it was very warm all the time possibly because it was the very top floor and when using the shower it leaked on the floor and carpet into the bedroom though everything else was great and for what I paid the room was excellent!
Great location close to rail/bus transport links. Good wifi. Close to lots of bars and clubs. Next to huge car park.
Only one lift and it is often not working. It should be replaced. Room very hot, even though it was a cool day. No aircon.
Ideal for one night. Was a mid week stay and got a good deal. Great location and free parking at dean st after 6pm.
You would pay 4-5 times more in London... Nice hotel, clean, economic, perfect location. Avoid 1st floor room facing the rear park. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast a bit pricey but good quality.
Staff could smile a bit more...probably the management must be terrible. Wifi is fairly fast but it's an homemade solution, they should really get a professional company to manage it.
Location was perfect for my purposes, both business and leisure. Bar downstairs worth a visit. Large car park adjacent handy. Very good room and facility, clean.
Noise from traffic and late night revellers, but it is a busy city centre so that is expected. Maybe ask for a room at the back?
Friendly staff especially the night staff.
Location (near train station, city centre and quayside), comfy bed, nice decor in bathroom and bedding, good shower, pleasant staff, good security, perfect temperature.
happy with everything
So noisey with old windows old bathrooms no food
Location was good, beside pubs & shops
Shower didnt work
City centre location with public car park right next door at back of hotel. General room cleaniness.
Noise from city revellers :-(
Girl on front desk rude and unhelpful.
Large room Nice big windows Good facilities in the room Friendly staff Comfortable bed
Old sash windows mean that the room is not sound proofed at all; expect to be woken up during the night multiple times (we were and we stayed during the week!)... Goodness knows what it'll be like on a weekend in The Toon! Dirty sofa in the room - not hygienic at all! Get rid of it, no need. Damp in bathroom Net curtains were badly soiled due to condensation (from poor insulation that sash windows give). I understand it's a listed building but there are still measures that can be put in place to avoid this, such as inner sliding windows. This would help with both damp and sound proofing.
hard to find the location, entrance not on the main road but not a big problem
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean.
Couldnt connect to wi-fi
Laura was helpful at check in. We appreciated the hotel storing our boxes ahead of the Great North Run.
The obvious damp around the window in our room, and the water dripping into the room throughout the night. We pointed it out to reception staff who said nothing could be done. The curtains in the room were also very badly fitting, meaning that the streetlights shone into the room all night.
Outdated lift, black mould in the bathroom, dirty curtains. Cracked mirror. Fuse box cover falling off, smelling room, bathroom tiny for 3 people, no towel rails. Very noisy at night, no air conditioning
Location Free parking overnight Great for night out
Noisy road Elephant in the room above
Brilliant staff good everything very helpful and central
No milk in room and no ice bucket available for the room
The location was quite central for newcatle.
Far too noisy from partygoers outside and bin men and general noise, the windows are only single glazed! the rooms on the third floor were BOILING no air con and too noisy with the windows open. Also there was no telephone to contact reception which is a pain when staying on the third floor with all of those stairs.
Nice space,good staff and location
Large room, lots of space
Very dodgy lift, no hot water in my room, the hot taps just made a gurgling noise with no water coming out
