Just about everything!
Staff were helpful and friendly; good disabled facility in our room; quality of food excellent . Overall stay, an enjoyable experience.
Access from main road to hotel entrance not very easy to find, signing somewhat obscured.
Staff were very good and informative t
Everything required refurbishing
Cheap and cheerful. Leisure facilities after walking Hadrians Wall
Very tired look
We enjoyed having a swim in the pool & relaxing in the jacussi. All facilities are good and so close to the town & castle, it was a good place to stay.
There were a few too many steps to access the inside and to get to our rooms and when going out on foot too. One of us had a back injury, otherwise this would not normally be an issue, but something to consider if steps are normally a problem.
Very nice bedroom, quiet and clean.Lovely breakfast, staff friendly and helpful.Easy access from M6 motorway, easy access into Carlisle centre,Stayed here at least twelve times, usually for two nights at a time and we have found it very good value. looking forwards to our next visit, already booked .
Breakfast was good.
It would appear nothing has been spent on this hotel in years. My wife and I have used it over the years, unfortunately the state of the rooms continue their downward spiral.
Hotel very tired needs a good revamp outside looks like a disused factory first impression not good
Nice budget hotel
Room was extremely hot
The friendly welcome, helpful staff and the inclusion of a good quality breakfast all combined to make our stay a pleasant one. The hotel is located a short drive from the town centre and the football ground - both of which we visited during our stay.
Although the hotel was clean, some areas looked in need of refurbishment.
Good value for money. Gym and pool was a lovely extra for the price. Food was good.
This hotel really needs updating. Not as clean as could be. Staff doing their job but nothing above that. Not the friendliest of reception staff when booking in.
Room was in ned of refurbishment, wall paper hanging off and toilet was poor quality and badly installed. During our stay there was a fire alarm, but staff did not carry outa head count or give an explanation, quite a lot ofthe guests did not evacuate! Breakfast was plentiful but poor quality ingredients.
the bar food was very good and all staff were helpful and friendly
there seemed to be a fan or boiler noise that was quite loud in the night . Shower curtain and taps had mould.
All of it, decor was very poor, smells of damp, damp patches in rooms, chairs in bar poor quality and badly upholstered. Real training issues requiring immediate attention.
Food didnt turn up staff rude abd put out when we complained
Speedy check in late check out
Really dated decor and furniture
Having breakfast in a function room, felt like having it in a barn. Strong smell of chlorine in our room near the spa. The whole hotel generally run down and grubby, car park overcrowded.
The room was very hot we didn't sleep for two mights
Receptionist was nice
Really hot room even with radiator off. Poor wi fi signal, breakfast adequate, room dated and just about clean
Proximity to city centre
I paid a lot more than last time I booked this hotel
Beginning to need re-furbishment. Service at breakfast lacked elegance.
Distance from town where occasional parking was difficult.
Big hotel which could cater for a large group of people
Fairly dated and very basic. Rooms weren't especially clean
Graffiti on bedroom door, broken window mechanism, damaged TV, threadbare carpets, undercooked(still frozen) and incomplete meals
The staff were very helpful and friendly
The state of the rooms badly need updated very tired looking
Clean but dated, use of swimming pool was a bonus and staff were polite (but maybe not cheery)
The hotel is very dated and average age of guests are...high! However, for the price it does what is required for a cheap getaway. It must be said breakfast was acceptable but don't expect gourmet food
