The staff were very helpful and friendly
The state of the rooms badly need updated very tired looking
Clean but dated, use of swimming pool was a bonus and staff were polite (but maybe not cheery)
The hotel is very dated and average age of guests are...high! However, for the price it does what is required for a cheap getaway. It must be said breakfast was acceptable but don't expect gourmet food
Friendly staff, nice clean room, good breakfast, good Wi-Fi in the rooms. Excellent value for money
Alcohol prices are high
good location and reception staff
looks tired and large damp damage to wall in room
If you're into time travel you will like this place, it's like being transported back to the late 1970s
Tinned mushrooms spoiled an average breakfast, rooms , bar, corridors are run down and hence look unclean, I was put off using the leisure facilities because of the state of the rest of the hotel, a little too far out of town for a city hotel, overall there is nothing nice about this place, will not be staying again
Clean and friendly hotel tucked away in a quiet location. I arrived at midnight and was greeted warmly, shown to my room, which was very clean with everything you could ask for, a similar standard to a travel/ lodge premier inn I'd say.
Nice tv, clean and lovely linen
Good well cooked food. Good choices. Pool was well maintained. Easy parking.
The room was very hot.even during the night.
parking free wifi size of room
wait at bar when ordering food
excellent location, good facilities and food
Tired rooms, breakfast far too late start
The hotel was good, cant fault anything about, travelled with my son,he enjoyed it too, only shame is we didn't bring our shorts as swimming pool and gym looked great.
All round nice place and friendly staff.
most things, i stayed in this hotel many years ago, when it was a railway barracks and its not mutch as changed
Food available in the bar until late for late arrivers. Quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find.
The food was not too bad.
I think the place is due a refurbishment.
The room was very tired, badly in need of refurbishment. Was also very noisy plus the smell from the kitchens below permeated the room. Constant noise from a fan over the kitchen continued all night. The complete hotel is requiring a refurbishment. It does not deserve 3 stars. Would not recommend this hotel to family or friends
Everything was clean and staff friendly, excellent with my little girl who is 2
It's a bit dated the style of the hotel but that does not stop it being good, no air con or fans in the room so it was very very warm
Room terrible, old fashioned, dirty. Breakfast, warmed up fried food, unedible..
Good wifi. Filling breakfast included. Staff tried hard to give a good service.
Bed too soft. Old tv with poor reception. Hotel generally felt as though it had seen better days!
I liked the leisure facilities
With hindsight would have booked something more central as didn't take car
staff were friendly and the overall impression of cleanliness. plus the restaurant was able to find us a table at short notice.
not so much the staff but other guests ... we felt uncomfortable staying in the bar area to eat given the 'choice' language being used by other guests and given the youthfulness of the bar staff we decided it would be easier all round just to swap dining locations
staff and leisure club
old and dated
Hotel decor needs a good update, worn furniture, wallpaper grubby Ceiling tiles damaged, poor service at breakfast Coffee not refilled at buffet
Friendly reception staff, very nice location its about 15 mins walk into Carlisle. Price was very keen. Loved the pool, spa, and steam room.
Breakfast on the second day wasn't upto the standard of the first day. The ceiling above the pool needs a good clean!! The hotel could benefit from a little paint over. The hot water in the bedroom on our second day (final day) was luke warm at best.
