Sauna very relaxing, linen clean and fresh, breakfast huge, lovely furniture in room-not at all cheap but very country luxury At first I thought being in the 'motel' part would be worse as you have to walk outside to get anywhere but it was ok and fortunately the weather was good. Not sure if I would have been so happy if it was worse

My husband and I were a bit dubious after reading some on-line comments but we need not have worried. Our business trip was very comfortable thanks to the stay we enjoyed. Fabulous + plentiful breakfast (lovely bacon) - clean warm spacious room - beautifully appointed bathroom with heated towel rail - choice of real ales and famous name beverages - about ten choices of two good sized meals for £10.00 for the two - well located near Bettws y coed for reaching most parts of North Wales. - ample free parking - stunning waterfall just over the road. We are not connected in any way with the hotel, but would like to emphasise how much better the experience was than our prior impressions. We can recommend room 33! Only the December weather!

Its location is excellent- with the Swallow Falls just accross teh road and close to Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia. The hotels is a little "run down" and could do with renovation. The restaurant could alo be upgraded.in its appearance and quality of food.

Very helpful lady in your Reception area. Staff throughout were helpful. No lift, or help with luggage. Greasy table tops in bar area. OK for back packers, but as a Hotel it falls between a Hostel and a Hotel which I did not understand from the booking details. We are in our 70's. Your bath/shower definitely needs a handle up the wall over the bath for health and safety needs, whatever age your clients.

This hotel is set amongst beautiful scenery, directly opposite the Falls, and is very family and dog friendly. Breakfast times and meals on our return were first class and the staff very pleasant. The Snowdon range and pass is virtually just up the road. Will stay longer next time.

The two rooms for my wife and I and our two sons were fine. The location was very good. The food at the hotel was poor, the "canteen" as the receptionist named the what the brochure called the tavern, was scruffy cold and tacky. The internal layout of the hotel was confused and confusing, and the whole enterprise felt a bit amateurish.

I enjoyed our stay. We booked 2 rooms, which were next door to one another. One room for 3/4 and the other for 2. I did not think the room would have accommodated 4 though 3 was manageable for the 3 nights we were there The room itself was clean, however the toilet was not my daughter cleaned before I went in, as she knew I would complain! Apart from that one thing the hotel was great. we had clean towels daily, the breakfast was big, all that I needed for hours The people were friendly and i was very relaxed there. We were there for a wedding and the location was convenient for that and for the other paces of interest. we had the best of both worlds. I did not like the fact that there was no way of keeping our drinks cold, but other that Therewas nothing I disliked

Very good location north of Betws-y-Coed on thje A5. Surrounded by beautiful country and only 5 mins by car to the town. The hotel is more of a hostel for serious mountain walkers. Friendly and with good facilities. The shower hose in my room needed replacing, water squirted everywhere but that didn't matter too much in the shower. The 4-star rating on the website was misleading. It was at best a 3-star in my opinion but good non-the-less.

“Its an ideal location for exploring in the national park with a 15 min drive to Snowden. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. I'm not usually a lover of a buffet style breakfast but was surprised, I had a full welsh breakfast and couldn't fault it. Overall a pleasent stay.” Russell, Halstead |
