Proximity to Betws-y-Coed

Unfortunately hotel got my booking wrong and initially allocated a double room instead of 2 singles. Then they changed room to a disabled one with double bed and bed seatee. Breakfast was good but breakfast room was like a school dinning room not of good hotel standard.

We were a party of three adults and the family room suited our needs very well as it was comfortable and a good size.

the whole place is staring to look tired, out dated and shabby. The double bed was uncomfortable. Our room the family room (24) was a mish mash of furniture, tired, needed modernising and redecorating. We paid £200 for two nights and I would expect a higher standard for the amount of money. The whole place except for the bar and reception looks like it needs some investment to bring it up to a good standard.

Although I know the hotel caters mainly for walkers,I did find the Hotel needs updating,stair carpets certainly need replacing. The bar where we had a meal was cold and lacked any comfort at all,VERY basic.

Staff were very friendly & efficient, good location for mountain hiking & shopping in Betws-y-coed, nice hot shower after a day in the mountains. Had an excellent meal in the Betws-y-coed Bistro nearby.

Room 30 quite small & too warm for us, unable to open bedroom window, room a little dated & run down for room price of £60 per night, no biscuits in room, breakfast pre-cooked & a bit cafe like rather than home cooked local produce.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and my 3 year old son was even given a lovely little present when we left. The hotel was right opposite the falls which was our main reason for visiting and only a short drive from the lovely Betws Y Coed. We really enjoyed our stay, and are hoping to visit again in the near future, thank you very much.

Overall very good, and the food is excellent. The only real issue we had was with other guests rather than the hotel itself.

Although this won't apply to everyone, the charge we were asked to pay for the dogs seems a little excessive, and hopefully the hotel will review this.

Although I only stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights, I found the staff friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room warm, there seemed to be quite a lot of facilities in the complex for those often 'rainy days'

My only real complaint was the fact that the bar closed at 11 o'clock, even though we were staying at the hotel we could not get a drink after this time. As we were with friends for the time we were in wales, when we arrived back to the hotel at night, the bar was shut. I find this situation quite odd and am sure I am not alone with this. It is the one thing that would put me off staying in Wales in the future if this is a general trend.

Location.2 Miles out of town so a little restricted.Right next to Swallow Falls but those take about 30 mins to admire.

The swallow falls hotel is in a great location for touring Snowdonia. The hotel was within my budget so I was able to stay extra nights.

It was close to Snowdonia and had good parking facilities. The restaurant had a varied menu and the meals themselves were very good. The towels and bed linen were very clean.

I booked a double (2 adult grand-daughters) and a single room (myself). The single room (2 beds) was very small with nowhere to sit. There was no hairdrier and although one was requested it did not appear. The carpet looked tired and stained

Handy for Betws and Capel Cyrig

A bus ride away from town and right next to Swallow Falls. The games rooms were a welcome and unexpected distraction. Excellent and fair priced food, room with bunkbeds suitable for our children who are 14 and 16. No real complaints, but could do with a lick of paint :)

Could do with air-conditioning and a fridge.
