The room was modern and well styled, especially the bathroom The spa was very poor. Mouldy ceiling tiles in the gym and rusting weights. The heating in the room couldn't be turned down and got oppressive during the night so much so that we had to open the window which led to us discovering that the door didn't shut properly so rattled. |

Good, well thought out refurbished hotel.Plenty of staff & very helpful, generally. Only 2 tissues in box in room. Asked for more but never arrived. We were in room 135.Bath plug had part missing so we had to pull out plug by fingernails.Could only just get hot enough water for bath. Hot/cold tap would not turn fully to Hot. Mens changing room in Spa was freezing! |

Modern, clean and reasonably spacious rooms. Good food and very good service. Windows do not lock fully, even the ground floor ones. Location made it feel a bit like a road lodge. |

Food was of high standard and good value. The service however could have been better on one or two occasions. Room was smaller than expected, luckily did not have large suitcases and very little space in bathroom. |

Close to City Centre yet far enough away to relax. Breakfast was not good. Food was left under a hot plate and left to dry out. |

I thought the staff were very helpful and cheerful and were very eager to help with any matters. The swimming pool was great and the children were made very welcome especially the reception, breakfast and room staff. |

The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. The hotel has improved greatly since the change in ownership I felt the bar lunch and dinner menues were a little misleading. In an attempt, I assume to appear upmarket, someo fht menu descriptions did not match up the dishes produced |

Having had a not very good short stay in the same venue when it was The Swallow there has been an enormous improvement in appearance, facilities, bedrooms/en-suite facilites, and especially the quality of food which was very good. All staff very pleasant, friendly, welcoming and helpful. |

Lovely staff, nothing too much trouble. Suprisingly fabulous food. Very comfortable large bed. Room was nice if a little too dark. Pleasant grounds, if you get the "right" weather, let me know when that is ! Overall a lovely weekend and would love to return. Water pressure, took an age to fill the bath. |

It was comfortable, welcoming and the food was excellent despite the fact that we were late in arriving and only got into the dining room before closing time. The quality and presentation of the food as well as a pleasant dining area, makes this hotel stand out from many others. |
