Originally a Scottish Mansion house, the Swallow Hotel Dundee is set in its own landscaped gardens and surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are only 3 luxurious bedrooms situated in the old mansion house with the remaining 100 bedrooms located in an extension to the hotel.

Located on the outskirts of Dundee, this spacious and friendly hotel is ideal for families or couples wishing to explore this picturesque part of Scotland. The hotel itself enjoys extensive open grounds. There is also the hotel's leisure club with an indoor heated pool, spa, sauna and solarium, and for those with extra energy to burn, there is a 10 station gymnasium available. An alternative to exploring the many local attractions is to enjoy afternoon tea on the hotel's sun terrace, before enjoying good food and superb wines served in the hotel's conservatory Garden Restaurant, which has been awarded an RAC Dining Award. The hotel offers a range of interconnecting rooms and several suites that are ideal for families.

I felt relaxed and valued as a customer. The food was great value and
the room was nicely decorated. Oh! I adored the Arran Aromatique
toiletries, a lovely luxurious touch.

I didn`t have a chance to use the leisure facilities. Maybe next time!

The swimming pool was the best feature 0f the Hotel

I was very disappointed with the Hotel as I was expecting a far superior quality. It is in great need of decorating and a decent lounge area for evening use by its guests. We ended up spending our evening in our rooms with a takeaway meal !!

Absolutely nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other than fairly attentive staff on
reception & in the bars & restaurant

Unable to sleep in the room due to heat generated by a bathroom towel
rail that wouldn't turn off, capped of by a toilet cistern that self
distructed at three in the morning. An agressive 'manager' who could be
mistaken for basil faulty if not for his extreme lack of inches in the
height departmentment and who was far too busy to be bothered with
complaining guests. This is not a swallow hotel!!!!

easy access with good parking, very pleasant staff.

the decor is looking rather tired but this could be inproved with better house keeping nearly all the carpets needed a good hoover esp in the dinning room and round the edges in the bedrooms.

Breakfast - beans were stone cold. Room outlook over a flat roof (they
ought to tell you). Rooms (2) dirty and poorly maintained. Reception
unhelpful (I complained and didn't get an apology - they refused to
answer the question)

our room was in the wing built into the old building and it was beautiful the grounds were really nice and our son loved creeping up on the rabbits.

The location

Rooms very small and need up datig and decoraing and cleaning. There was no valence on the bed or matrees cover which i think would help with the look of the room.

Location is excellent

Breakfast was very busy due to the presence of a coach party and consequently staf were too rushed for smooth operation leading to a short delay
