Very comfortable clean rooms. Breakfast was excellent and it is great having the parking in such a central location

If it were very wet being in an annex may be a bit of a bore but the courtyard and old style buildings are part of the charm of the place

Excellent location, very comfortable rooms, helpful staff, and the hotel in itself is a very nice building. Being just one block away from the Canterbury West Station, it's a great option to visit Canterbury and I will recommend it anytime.

Room in Woodmill annexe spacious and comfortable. Car parking at hotel fine. Excellent choices for breakfast. Excellent staff - welcoming, attentive and professional. Supplied a map of the city which was really useful. Perfect location within walking distance of all the sights

Disappointed that hotel didn't have a restaurant for evening meal but there are plenty of local restaurants nearby. Would avail ourselves of the take - away service next time. Breakfast room very busy - need to wait for a table at busy times but staff handle this well.

If you come by car and require a parking space then this is near to the centre and cathedral as you can get. Easy walking distance to the centre cathedral and eating places

Excellent location, friendly staff, lovely room.

11am check out is quite early these days, especially as check in was 3pm. Also the radiator in our bathroom could not be turned off and it was a very warm day.

we had a very early breakfast - 7am - only cereals, because we had to leave for business early. when we entered the restaurant, the guys kind of looked at us as if we were trespassers. 'Do you have permission" this is not friendly: nobody starts breakfast for fun at 7 am on a Saturday, and you expect people to treat you polite and friendly.

Great location very close to the centre, parking and nostalgic feel but with reasonably up to date facilities. Woodside annex is away from potential noise from the main road.

We had three rooms and all enjoyed our stay there very much.

The room that was allocated to us was nothing like the ones depicted in the on line blurb

It is a charming building very close to the city centre with adequate car-parking.

I was in Room 2 and there was clearly something wrong with the plumbing: During the night (at about 5.00am) I turned the hot tap in the wash basin on for a short while and as soon as I turned it off there was a violent noisy banging sound that seemed to be behind the wall at the end of the bathroom where the toilet is located. I assumed this would be temporary but, after being kept awake for half an hour I returned to investigate and turned the tap on again for about thirty seconds and then off. The noise then stopped for a short while and then started again so I ran the tap again for ten seconds and then off and the noise stopped permanently. However, the whole thing happened again at 700am when I got up. I did inform reception when I checked out but I'm pretty certain that other residents will have been disturbed since the noise was so loud.

No dining facilities although there are plenty of nearby restaurants and fortunately it was not raining!

As usual, everything was top-class. We always feel welcome there and the service is fast, efficient and friendly. It is the only hotel for us when we are passing through England.

The atmosphere of the The Falstaff with it's history and convenience to the City and Cathedral. Lovely breakfast room and sitting room. Very good breakfast!

Was not so keen on the utilitarian bedroom!

This is the second time we have stayed here, and will return again. Bedroom spacious with plenty of room to put things down, and hang things up. Though near the Annex exit/entrance door, it was quiet. Nice and warm, almost hot during the night.

As the Bedroom was on the Ground Floor, near the exit/entrance door, the Bathroom was fitted out for Disabled use. There was some mold on the grout and tiles. A better cleaning needed.

Room was clean and in good order. Beds were a bit bowed and amorous couple above a bit enthusiastic but I would definately stay again
