Great value for money. Two star price for four star facilities.
Lack of lift.
Friendly staff, lovely views of the Clyde and hills beyond. Swimming pool was great and never busy!
Rooms looked tired.
Swimming pool, sauna, steam room And location
Bed, smell of kitchen in bedroom corridor.. Awful breakfast (inedible), tired
We were late for dinner but the staff catered for us. My car alarm went off and they found me. What more could you ask?
location & comfortable beds
ice made access impossible
Food bedroom facilities
Noise from other guests
Rooms spacious and comfortable, warm and clean. This hotel is now my hotel of choice for this area.
The breakfast was not good...which was a shame....wifi was down for the 2 days I stayed at the hotel.
Lovely helpful staff and our family room in the annex was a good size and very comfortable. The swimming pool is a great size and well maintained.
We loved the breakfast last time we came as we ordered it to our table. This time we did not really enjoy the buffet breakfast, however was glad that we could order some things freshly cooked.
The rooms were comfy but basic, plenty of room. The pool area was adequate but not what I would call 4 star
There was a power cut when we were staying and the emergency light stayed on in our room all night with no way of turning off. The bar areas werent very exciting and very small. The breakfast wasnt on the same par as the evening meal which was lovely. Strange layout more a golf/leisure resort than 4 star bespoke hotel
Excellent value for money as we got a January deal. Would definitely give this hotel another visit.
Wifi was poor but that could have been due to the stormy weather over the weekend.
Room is beautiful and large. pool and gym are of high standard. Room service was fast and high standard. Great hotel would stay here again.
Little bit of damp above the bathtub.
The hotel offer a picturesque scenery of stunning greenery surrounding golf course and breathtaking view of River Clyde from our room. They also upgraded our room into King Suite (from double room) which very spacious and comfy for all four of us. The staff are very warm and welcome. WiFi provided is excellent for web browsing (didn't had a chance using it for live streaming ... probably will be OK).
The old type hot and cold separate water tap. The room is not sound proof, can hear people next door talking or walking especially at night. Would be better if they have swimming pool area for kids. Other than that, everything was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay here.
The only enjoyable part of our stay at Gleddoch House Hotel & Golf Spa was the "SPA". If it wasn't for the fact I had a glass of wine with lunch we would have cut our stay very short and left.
The only enjoyable part of our stay at Gleddoch House Hotel & Golf Spa was the "SPA". If it wasn't for the fact I had a glass of wine with lunch we would have cut our stay very short and left. Could not handle the amount of people staying, no room in the restaurant...breakfast ! awful !
Location and price
Shower not working 3 of us but as always they set the room up for 2 (2 towels, 2 cups, 2 glasses).
Location and potential of the hotel
Didn't like the Atmosphere, Food, being overcharged not only once but twice. Being charged Vat twice. Non management. Very very poor
Comfiest and largest bed ever. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Poor area for checking in
Richard and Stephen restaurant managers were so hospitable. ..They never said No to anything and went out of their way to make us a chicken curry as we didn't eat beef and pork..thanks for making our stay sooooooo good and comfortable ..
The staff were excellent, polite and attentive.
Breakfast was not to the standard I would expect. The order taken was not what we received, It was changed but came back cold. Widows in room 46 need an over hall. Trapped my fingers when trying to hold window open.
I wanted to spend a special night in a 4* hotel, instead I was directed to a sub wing of a leisure club, smelling of chlorine and using the golf clubs toilet, very unsatisfactory! I wasn't allowed to stay in the bar After 10 pm as they were using the area for breakfast. Very unsatisfactory. The staff were young, inexperienced and rude! No one offered an explanation or apology when we had to stand 30 mins in freezing rain after a fire alarm I feel cheated by this cheap resort hotel
Great service from staff, room in need of some maintenance, breakfast not the best.
Breakfast, good choice of breakfasts let down only by the choice of toast, toast or toast. Where were the lovely Scottish Morning Rolls (plenty were available in a nearby Bakers' shop!)? No French person would have recognised the miniature Croissants and Pains au chocolat as having any resemblance to the French equivalents (that same local baker had some far better Croissants)
Dinner menu was a little boring, after 3 nights I was running low on choices. They can't even be bothered to wash the potatoes, let alone peel them before making chips: chips with skin on are in my opinion not pleasant but when they are also gritty that is very unpleasant. If you have false teeth stay well away from any of the starters with toast - I could hardly get my teeth through it. Beware also of lumps of raw garlic in the middle of the Baked Camembert.
Good big rooms, excellent value for money, nice location.
No wifi available during stay.
The staff were very polite and helpful. The room we stayed in was very spacious.
There was a private wedding and another party on one of our night's stay and unfortunately the guests were extremely roudy with no consideration for other guests. The noise continued until well into the early hours which spoiled our stay. Apparently we were at the quiet end of the hotel too. We complained and got an apology but that hasn't given us the incentive to stay there again.
