The staff on Reception and the restaurant were absolutely superb, being pleasant/polite and accommodating in all aspects. The breakfast was superb with a very good variety of fruits/starters, self service fried food, pastries and conserves etc. Noisy on one night owing to a party which necessitated a room change. Staff were excellent in arranging alternative accommodation and should be praised for their attention which was superb. The hotel has numerous corridors and perhaps could benefit from better signage.

Location, comfort, level of facilities, on surface looks the part, but a little let down by the food, thank you. Staff were friendly, but to claim 4 star they need to be trained to the level expected. They were very helpful, but lacked professionalism. More importantly the food is not 4 star quality, too local in content, not from freshness, but type of meal, need to go upmarket, more gourmet style, actually the Chef maybe needs the training/different type, as I think I am being a bit unfair on the staff, they were very helpful. I am not complaining just felt this needed saying.

Nice room, spa facilities very good, staff welcoming and friendly. Well placed for sightseeing around the Ironbridge area. The night we ate in the restaurant it was very disorganised. When our food came one of the meals was cold - when it was returned 12 minutes later some of it was missing. We did complain and the meals were comped so at least our compaint was rectified.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff made it very pleasent, we found the food for meals to expensive, although the breakfasts were great. Evening meals too expensive, why are veg and potatoes classed as extra's,so therefor charged.

Comfortable. Reasonably quiet. Generally very efficient staff. In the evenings the restaurant staff worked hard but service was a bit slow as there did not appear to be enough staff on duty. Every-one was pleasant and did their best but they seemed to be under pressure.

Free wifi, swimming pool and spa, good breakfast. Good facilities overall. Some reception staff need more training. It is not acceptable to see "I am right and you are wrong" attitude over guests requests of improvement, and no apology was given against discomfort. Also we were given a room very very far away from facilities and it was not great especially with a young child with lots of luggages and a push chair.

I arrived late at night, hungry and with a 5-tier cake to get into my room as well as my hand luggage. Your two male receptionists were fantastic in helping me carry my things to my room, getting my room lights working and providing me with sandwiches etc. Your Saturday morning receptionist was great in checking my route to Bridgenorth where I had to set the cake up, and then later printing out directions and a map to Morville Church for a wedding. My husband was unable to join me at the last minute, but I felt safe, happy and well looked after at your hotel. The view from the restaurant was wonderful and relaxing. I didn't have time to use your other hotel facilities but I am sure the staff would have been just as welcoming and helpful as the staff who I did meet. Many thanks and I would certainly stay again. Margaret Harman There was absolutely nothing to complain about except a slight smell of mustiness (drains?) in the shower room.

Staff all extremely friendly and helpful. However Bar staff in the lounge bar, with one exception, were very inadequately trained-- cold beer in a warm glass- wrong glasses etc. I thought that the wine list was overpriced.

The gym is very good, staff are attentious, parking is easy, and the views and atmosphere in general are very good. Unlike other hotels I have stayed at in the past, this is a modern and clean hotel, without the overpowering smell of old cigarretes. It is carpeted and cosy, without being musty. The view from both the main restaurant and the Gorge Bar also enhance the nice atmosphere. Staff did not have an adapter available to lend, so my laptop nearly ran out of juice, before I got hold of a cable with a uk plug. A room service meal was good in terms of the curry but the rice looked like it had come from a risotto, tasty but mushy.

Beautiful setting. Front of house staff were the saving grace of our stay - always doing their very best to try and put things right. A number of issues regarding website links to menus, and no apparent mention of standard rooms only having showers, i.e. no bath. Food was mediocre at best, and some meals poor. Breakfast buffet was very poorly managed.
