The facilities and enjoying the ambience of the hotel. We were allocated room 25 on the second floor, we did not require an alarm clock as the guest/s on the floor/room above seemed to enjoy walking around their room and the floorboards were noisy and we even heard the toilet being used. When the hotel was built maybe the roof area was not built for rooms and the flooring was not of the standard of the lower floors.

Easy reach of Inverness and Elgin. There was a leak in the conservatory ceiling and water dripped in - although staff did place a receptalce to catch the water they failed to warn diners that it was there and I saw at least two persons bump into it. My room was directly above the dining area and some guests sat there until quite late and the noise kept me awake. Lack of double- glazing also makes the rooms overlooking the carpark liable to noise due to guests starting and revving engines very early and slamming car doors etc.

The room was spacious and very comfortable with plenty tea/coffee and biscuits as well as bottled water. The pool was lovely and warm with glorious views across to the Black Isle. Breakfasts were delicious, and plenty of it. I would recommend the french toast with bacon and maple syrup. We also ate in the conservatory one evening which although a little pricey was well worth it. The staff throughout our stay were friendly and courteous. Under 16's were not permitted to use the jacuzzi bath.

A rather tired 4* hotel. The bonus was the swimming pool and spa. The room, one of the upgrades, was large but in need of refurnishing. The carpet was crumpled and the best part of the room was the shower room/ toilet. On half board basis but dinner was a la carte with little choice and if you required a different meal a supplement was required. Two evenings in the conservetory for dinner ( two courses ) cost an extra £ 70.00. However all that said the manager and staff on hearing we were celebrating our golden wedding provided a bottle of champagne and chef a decorated plate to commemorate the occasion. In short if you are not keen on shell fish and other seafoods be prepared to pay extra. The staff were enthusiastic very polite and made you feel very welcome.

We loved being right on the Moray coast and being so handy for walks on beach. Next time we will try for a room with a view over water. The leisure facilities were lovely.

Exactly as it should be at this price point, comfy room, good, clean and modern bathroom. My view was a fire escape, tv was minuscule.

Location. Didn't eat in hotel apart from breakfast had to wait 20 mins for table in morning. Wilma masseur was lovely and hot tub great. Nairn beach clean but town a bit tired but a visit to the classroom restaurant highly recommended a real find.

Rooms were very spacious and overlooked the sea. They had been freshly painted and were very comfortable. Overlooking the sea was an added attraction and it was great to walk along the promenade in the morning. The spa facilities were excellent. We would suggest that the breakfast could be vastly improved upon. All the fruit was tinned and while the cooked selection was adequate there could have been more cheeses and cold meat selections. They could also improve their selection of bread/rolls etc.

The wonderful room with a superb view over the Moray Firth. The room was wonderfully spacious with a double bed that could have slept 4 if you had needed it. Also comfortable chairs and a table by the window which meant you could sit and relax and enjoy the view. So relaxing. The spa and leisure facilities were excellent with a good range of treatments which I took advantage of as they were on special offer. Lastly the wonderful breakfast that catered for every need.

Firstly, we had a very comfortable bed. Next the hotel has a good atmosphere overall. The pool is great - sitting there looking out over the sea. Dinner was also excellent.

The Golf View Hotel and Spa was very welcoming and relaxing. We stayed there for the start of our honeymoon and partook of two spa treatments - sheer heaven. We also ventured out into the hot tub whilst surrounded by snow. It was so romantic and relaxing. We fully intend to return on some of your special weekend packages in the near future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The location is lovely, the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. We could feel the bed springs through the mattress, linen and towels were of poor quality.

I was delighted with the Golf View Hotel & Spa it is such a wonderful warm and welcoming hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent. Our room was beautiful and very well equipped. My only regret that, as it was a flying visit, I did not have the time to stop to enjoy the spa facilities and take in more of the beautiful surrounding area. I'm already planning a trip for up for 2012 .

We stayed at the Golf View because past experiences had been good. However when we dined in the conservatory we were dismayed to find that seveeral items on the menu were no available, this despite that the conservatory did not look busy, nameely ther was no rack of lamb (which both my wife and I had chosen), no langoustines and only two portions of 3 no oysters. We therefor chose the chateaubriand for two only to be told that was no longer available. We were almost forced by lack of choice to have sirloi steak.Upon requesting Dijon mustard to go with the steak to my amazement (after all I would not have thought that this was an unreasonable request) I was told that they had none. I did speak to the manager whose reasons/excuses for this were not at all convincing (let down by suppliers, new chef etc.). I'm afraid that all of thi has coloured my judgement as to whether or not we will stay there again.
