The set dinner menu was excellent, one of the tastiest meals we have had for ages. The room was aslo very nice. We think Scottish music played in the background would be far more pleasing to guests and more reflective of the Highlands. Modern music does not create the same ambience.

The fact that it was an old, well kept building, with lots of character and charm. I loved that fact that Charlie Chaplin stayed there, as my Dad was a big fan of his, as I am.My Dad was born a few doors away from him and would have loved your hotel. We never knew about the Chaplin connection until the barman told us. Very exciting and interesting. A beautiful hotel

Modern part of Hotel is as advertised. Breakfast options and staff very good. Our room was very comfortable and warm and the bathroom facilities were of a high standard. Older part of Hotel where some rooms are, needs a revamp for the carpets and some decoration. Not 4 star.

From entrance to the hotel until leaving the staff were fabulous, reception staff are especially welcoming. Room was great, comfy beds and chairs, good to be able to watch Sky Sports as well as normal UK Channels. Breakfast was really good and more than sufficient to keep you going until lunch time or beyond! Overall definitely a hotel I would return!!!

We stayed as a family for a wedding in the newer part of the hotel. The hotel was very accomodating from early check in to late check out. Whole day was extremely well organised and staff very helpful. Room was very clean and bathroom was the best we have had in any of our hotel stays in a long time.

The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast menu was very good as was the food. The standard of the dinner menu was disappointing - and very expensive. The waiting time was long for every course. The room itself was quite cold, as was the lounge where we had our coffee. A mint or fudge with coffee would have been a nice touch which is pretty standard in most restaurants. Because of these factors we ate locally for the following two evenings which was excellent and very good value.

Liked only the location and the wonderful looking building. The whole inside is in desperate need of a make over. Tape holding the stair carpet together, ancient and damaged portable heater in the room, room carpet thread bare, furniture stained etc etc . . . . As an original 'Nairnite' I would be embarrassed to book someone in to this hotel. It looks fabulous from the outside - why not capture this on the inside and make it the place to stay in Nairn

A very good internet discount on an October stay. Two nights in a single room cost only £90. It's a fairly big hotel, designed for a mix of business guests & tourists/holidaymakers, with a large, pleasant bar/lounge. The restaurant is in a modern extension, and well laid out. The breakfast room is large, and light if the sun is shining. Staff were all friendly and obliging. Decent shower, proper hot water, comfortable bed. Reasonable space in the single room. Reasonably priced bar food The set dinner menu at £20 for two courses looks very good value, but many of the dishes on offer carry a supplement. I would rather see a slightly higher base price and fewer supplements. House wine is good value. The same cannot be said of the 'Selection of Scottish cheeses' which was very poor, both in choice and in quality. The Strathdon blue was fine, but the Cheddar and the Brie were both under-ripe and bland. The Brie had obviously only just been removed from the fridge.

An attractive venue that is handy for Speyside activities. Good location to walk to the coast. Lack of public use internet pc. Lift not fully functional during visit. Window catch broken. Our room had no view and was also affected by noise from on-site machinery (power generator?)

Nice staff. Nice spacious room and good food in the restaurant. Nairn is a very quiet and boring town, not much to do.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We had two very young children and the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable! The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Great location, close to the city. Breakfast was fantastic, large buffet, great selection! I don't have a bad word to say about it, I would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.” Jessica, Brisbane |
