room far too warm.
Had a very good stay and will come and stay again - the reception staff were very helpful and gave us a map of where to go in the town centre - we did not have food but the dining room looked full of happy customers thank you for a lovely stay
You cannot beat the buffy breakfast and really comfortable surroundings
Comfortable room with everything that was needed. Would stay again.
The hotel was close to where I train
Impersonal, service, old building that needs a freshen up.
Staff friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Would like to have stayed longer.
All good. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They allowed us to leave our car in the car park until we left Derby at 4 p.m. Even though we had checked out at 11am. We would definitely use the hotel again when we visit Derby.
We only stayed one night, but there was nothing we didn't like.
Staff were friendly , helpful and a sense of humour.
The rooms were too warm.
Location excellent and the price very reasonable
Room maybe slightly dated decor & furnishings wise?
Great beds and the staff were particularly friendly. The most impressive was the wee lad on reception who moonlights as the cook for breakfast! He obviously was new to the front desk but he really tried to help. Well done
Hotel looks a bit jaded and needs a bit of money spending on it. But for the price I thought it very good
Great location, price.
A little dated. No soundproofing.
location and friendly staff
Quiet, clean room with everything I needed. Breakfast good with lovely choice. Dinner was also very tasty. Service most pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyable stay
My shower room was fine for me, but anyone larger than a size 12 would have had problems accessing the loo!
Great location&staff couldn't of been any more helpful.
With a active one year old toddler&luggage to carry.I felt the walk from the lift was far to long.I would of much preferred a room which was easily accessed.
It was easy to find, within a reasonable distance to walk into Derby centre. The staff were friendly, gave good advice on the local restaurants. Very clean room and bathroom, it contained everything you would expect from a hotel. Soap dispensers in bathroom, very nice touch, biscuits in room on tea and coffee tray. All in all, you do get what you pay for and this is good if you're on a budget.
There wasn't a remote control set for tv so to altering the volume and changing channel had to be done on the tv itself. The window didn't close tight shut. We put some folded up card in the catches but it didn't make that much difference. There was a wedding reception going on so we heard noise from the guests which did kind of annoy us bit. Carpet on stairs a bit thread bear in places and could do with a bit of a spruce up.
WiFi was off
rooms breakfast location of hotel - near pubs & eateries etc
noisy corridor on 3rd floor - people going down steps near 309. cramped shower room. breakfast was v.nice but served late for us - we had to be away by 8 .15 on Sat & Sun - so a bit of a rush.
Good location and on site parking
Excellent meals, dinner and breakfast; friendly & client oriented staff; cleanliness of the room and bathroom.
Quite old finishings, the fact the heating was turned off the last night, lack of bathroom amenities, poor water pressure.
Great location food was lovely and staff
Free parking Friendly staff Handy for Pride Park
Rooms were uncomfortably warm with seemingly no way to turn down heating
Staff generally friendly and pleasant. Everywhere seemed clean except some of the breakfast crockery was marked.
Room was small and very stuffy, with the consequence that if the window was left open, there was a lot of road noise. Bed was very firm.
Good value, nice breakfast, helpful staff, clean. Free parking. Perfectly adequate for one night.
Mattress very lumpy on one side (luckily I was alone!), room in need of decoration, wifi intermittent. No clear signage for the car park, which is around the back of the hotel.
The staff were, as always, just lovely. The hotel is right across the road from the train station which is super convenient for me as I'm always travelling by train and it makes it even easier to pop over to Nottingham for a few hours.
I've got nothing bad to say about this hotel and look forward to my next visit!
