Convenient location, good parking, clean Beds are far far far too hard. Clearly cheap hotel grade, not acceptable in todays market.

The hotel lived up to it's claims on the website. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good quality produce and very good value for money. The free parking was definitely an asset.

The friendlyness and helpfullness of all staff was second to none. they went out of their way to make sure my wife and myself both had a wonderful stay. The hotel was well placed for a very short journey into Newcastle town centre. Bedrooms were well appointed although lack of drawer space was a bit of a nuiscance.

Good location between Newcastle Airport and City Centre for our annual trip to see Newcastle United. Pleasant staff who did their best to sort out the problem when our room wasn't available. Despite having booked a twin room (and calling the hotel seperately to ensure one would be available) our twin room had been given to someone else. However, the receptionist didn't know this and gave us a key to the room. When we walked in there were clothes and suitcases all over the place. We could have surprised someone very badly! This was poor management I thought. The hotel offered us complementary breakfast to make up for it but my ten year old I and had to sleep in a double bed which we didn't like. Also I was billed for the hotel on booking which I didn't like.

I liked the location of the hotel as it was located beside the metro and also very close to st jamses park. Excellent value for money. Anyone going on a shopping trip or a trip to Newcastle for the football should stay here

Nice sized room and complimentary orange juice, kit kats. Very noisey when doors around you shut after themselves. Nobody has yet invented a soft close room door.

Location is good for the centre and east side of the city. The door to our en-suite was glazed and only 50% of it with obscured glass. Whilst this is good for watching tv from the loo it is not so good for guests in the same room watching on! Make sure you are friendly with those who visit / stay in your room!

Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but the duvet was too thick and too warm. Everything was clean and modern. The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful (but see below). Convenience had been sacrificed to design and style. The bathroom was stylish but ill-lit, in particular the mirror. The window beside the shower had a ventilator at the top creating a freezing draught as one showered. The heating control was complex and appeared not to work: the choice was a freezing draught (on the bed) if the control was on and nothing if it was off. The water supply failed the evening we stayed: the staff tried to be helpful and provided a large bottle of water but the reason for the problem was never explained, and appeared to be ignored when we reported it the following morning. Thought the bar was expensive.

The rooms were pleasantly furnished and decorated. The beds were comfortable with a choice of pillow. The room was very clean. My daughter thought the complimentary waters, juice and kitkats were fantastic! We asked for a quiet room and that is what we got. The outlook from the room wasn't great but we got a good nights sleep. Brilliant for the interview the next day! The hotel is close enough to town to walk and if you have heavy bags after a shopping session a taxi is £4. Close to universities too.
